  • Isn't having gay sex still considered a sin in Catholicism? I thought those blessings didn't count as a marriage and having sex while not being married was a thing that constituted as a sin as well?

  • The whole gamergate thing lends some credence to the words of the author I would think. A lot of the big gaming influencers are toxic, racist and misogynistic. Remember when people freaked out about some unflattering screenshots of female characters in a lot of games? Like Aloy in Horizon: Forbidden West, MJ in the new Spiderman game or even Abby in The Last of Us 2. There are surprisingly many people that don't like any western games because they "push their woke agenda" or some such bullshit.

    It is the same in many online games, although that has gotten a bit better over the years, where you get berated, insulted and catcalled if you dare to have a feminine voice.

  • My phone can install APKs out of the box. XAPKs need a separate installer though, but that is a one time problem. Many APKs even get recognised by the playstore which made it easier to update it.

    My device either isn't verified or in some way geolocked for some apps so I had to get APKs of them to use those apps and I never had a problem with that.

  • And the PC of my brother needs like a Minute to show the login screen and then another minute for getting more than 8 fps on tge desktop. Otherwise it works fine so he won't let me take a look at it but as far as I know he doesn't have any startup programs, meaning that this probably just is Windows 11 being shit.

  • They were the only band where the merch I have of them prompted a discussion with my classmates who know almost no bands that I regularly listen to. Could also be the more mainstream genre that Gorillaz is in compared to the Deathcore or darkwave bands I also have merch of.

  • The only reasons I still use Spotify is because I get it from a family subscription that my mother pays, so it doesn't cost me anything. And it would be a big pain in the ass to get all my playlists on a local drive, changing to another streaming service would make it easier but then why change anything from how it is right now?

  • One of the worst war criminals in our history that got off entirely scot-free and probably had a happy life until he died at hundred. He is responsible for the deaths of millions and was never prosecuted for it. In a list of people deserving of being executed he would have been on one of the first places.

  • Where do you live that you have such long days with apparently such a cold weather? In my area we have cuddly 0°C/32°F with the sunset happening at 16:15. I would categorise so cold that it hurts around -20°C depending on the weather.

    My dad has that photo, except without the steel beams, that the Salzgitter AG several of his ancestors worked in gifted his father (or grandfather, I am not quite sure).

    Like this photo but without the steel beams they are sitting on and a caption that says something to the effect of "what would they do without us?" I tried to find it on the internet but sadly couldn't find it. Is it just me or do the seearch operators not work anymore with ddg?

  • Linux is also like veganism as in that nonvegans/non linux users get very misunderstood and unnecessarily antagonised, although the second thing happens to vegans more from my experience.

    All this talk about asshole vegans really sounds like those "SJW liberal triggered by facts and logic" videos that got popular around 2015ish.
