  • That’s crazy talk!

  • Right? I can’t believe you got downvoted for you opinion. Damn pitchfork crew is in full effect.

  • This works IMO. Our company used to do this. Hell, I even fell for one once, which is some shameful shit considering I work in the tech industry. That shame enough though has kept me more on toes ever since.

  • By default I would normally agree with you, but after reading some people’s responses, now I’m not so sure. The internet is still cool in that regard.

  • Isn’t the answer just gravity? Or am I missing something here. I never had a higher education.

  • Sorry for y’all worries. Hoping for the best from afar ❤️

  • I haven’t went streaking yet. Maybe more wine?

  • It’s a real gem of an album if you’re into that kind of sound!

  • I had pizza last night and I’m at a stalemate as I sit here trying to decide what sounds good. If I don’t figure it out soon I might be having leftover pizza again myself lol. Cheers 🍷

  • Organize a local Lemmy meetup for 40+ year olds! Lol

I am in my mid 40s myself. I think the default advice is to just find social hobby groups and meet people that way. The more you put yourself out there, the more chance you have to make a connection. Also, I don’t think it’s a problem to be the “odd old lady” - wear that badge with pride IMO.

  • Trying to decide about dinner while having some wine! It’s a rainy Friday night where I’m at.

  • You didn’t ask me, but I’ll give you my unsolicited recommendation: Jellyfish - Spilt Milk

In a time when grunge was the new hotness, this band released a masterpiece. Catchy ass pop rock - like if you threw Queen, The Beach Boys and The Beatles all in a blender with some modern, polished sensibility. Dang just talking about it makes me want to relisten.

Although it doesn’t sound like it really came from the 90s to me honestly. Ok I’ll shut up now lol

  • Thanks bot. I refuse to click on independent’s garbage website.

  • I will be surprised if you find someone on here who had that experience - but yeah weird episode. I had never heard of them at all. Sounds like the guy was just some kind of charismatic prankster but the mysteriousness of it all makes me wonder how he got such a substantial following.

  • I had mine running for probably 10+ years but eventually started acting screwy a few years back. I went ahead and upgraded to a TP-Link and I’ve bee satisfied with it. I haven’t looked into if you can still get these custom firmwares for modern routers - but I’ve also been satisfied with the interface and the performance.
