  • Beehaw is definitely quite left but it’s more polite so maybe that would be better for normies that are willing to follow strict rules over there.

  • The world is a hugely diverse place that doesn’t easily fit into a left or right category from the perspective of politics in an individual country. While I agree that the US is a conservative country, this narrative is a bit exaggerated. The median global opinion on various issues would be all over the place from a US perspective, from far right to far left or even defying any categorization. As a result saying that the US is to the right of most of the rest of the world is a huge oversimplification.

  • Real experts know and use a variety of names and consciously choose the best one for the specific context and audience in question.

  • Maybe we can just have leaders of the Chinese and American government do a battle royale. Leave ordinary people out of it.

Winner gets… eh… Marie Byrd Land? But not their original countries, we’re taking those back.

  • People have already pointed out that this is very normal, but I also want to push back on the framing here.

Does it actually matter whether this is normal or not? Everyone has sex a little differently and that is OK. This is the way your partner’s body works right now.

That said, while you haven’t stated this explicitly, it sounds like maybe you are wanting the receptive part of sex to last longer. If so, there are a number of strategies that can make this possible. Going slower or changing things up, etc. It is probably a good idea to think carefully about how you make this request though. Due to the unrealistic expectations you have fallen prey to, this can be a sensitive topic for many people. I wouldn’t frame it in a way that suggests you aren’t satisfied, but rather that you think a few of these strategies would be fun to try to see if you can extend your sessions and have more pleasure.

But good sex is not a natural talent that people just have. It happens by clearly communicating and pursuing both your and your partner’s desires. That’s an important skill the practice to improve things.

  • I found this book to be very compelling and topical: https://www.ericachenoweth.com/research/civil-resistance-what-everyone-needs-to-know

Civil resistance is a method of conflict through which unarmed civilians use a variety of coordinated methods (strikes, protests, demonstrations, boycotts, and many other tactics) to prosecute a conflict without directly harming or threatening to harm an opponent. Sometimes called nonviolent resistance, unarmed struggle, or nonviolent action, this form of political action is now a mainstay across the globe. It was a central form of resistance in postwar anti-colonial movements, the 1989 revolutions, and the Arab Awakenings, and people are practicing civil resistance at higher rates than ever before around the world, including in the United States. If we want to understand the manifold protest movements emerging around the globe, we need a thorough understanding of civil resistance and its many dynamics and manifestations.

  • I think this will be a complete non-issue. Interracial/interethnic marriage is quite common in the US. There might be a few isolated backwater areas where people would judge you but such people would be in the minority and would keep such thoughts to themselves.

And regardless, anywhere international tourists would know of or visit will be cosmopolitan enough that such pairings will not be unusual to see.

  • Why would you be banned lol

  • Expose yourself to moderate heat as much as possible. Your body adapts and then you can handle the extreme heat better.

A lot of people hide inside with AC all the time and then it’s a shock to the system when they go outside.

Also, body composition and fitness can make a huge difference.

  • You just made me realize that TikTok is still available in browser form. What a bunch of fuss over nothing.

  • No, not at all. We should build an independent liberatory movement that exists primarily outside of the political system.

  • Well I think a lot of it was built over time. That may have been when it started but it evolved more organically than most cities due to lack of top-down planning.

  • Sounds more like a leak than an announcement.

  • Probably no one can stop it immediately but it’s up to citizens to run interference as much as we can safely.

If you are in Chicagoland connect with your local orgs, I guarantee you there are some people strategizing against this.

  • Resistance to Trump was fairly successful. It's one reason his first administration was so ineffective.

It's kind of scary that people are responding so passively and pessimistically this time. We need to rally and energize if we're going to make it through the next 4 years and protect the people his administration seeks to harm.

  • Oh, sorry I don't understand how censorship works on Twitter I guess.
