  • My favorite moment in that game is a serious case of understatement in dialogue prompt. You have an option to help one of two diametrically opposed people and if you choose "Help person A" you draw your sword on person B. If you choose "Help person B" you immediately throat punch person A.

  • It's natural to enjoy the work. It's the hours, useless leaders and chronically, systemically inadequate compensation that we can only hope to resolve by progressing beyond capitalism.

  • If the layoffs included nearly everyone that negotiated the license terms, that might help to explain why Larian went from hinting months before launch "DLC could be anything, even adapting one shot campaigns" to recently "we are full steam ahead on our next new game".

  • Similarly my parents acquiesced to my begging for a Barbie doll. My dad was worried it would be a gateway to his son pursuing unmanly things. But even at that early age what I was fascinated by wasn't the fashion or playhouses but the idea of having dominance over a femme entity.

I still resent myself for it because I haven't grown past that behavior, in video games I choose femme avatars to literally control them. Back when I still made excuses to permit myself to date, I would abuse my girlfriend by flipping the dresser around to face the wall while she was showering so I could control her access to clothing

I guess my point is that there's a lot children can explore at an early age.

  • If Steam's built in remote play doesn't quite meet performance needs then look into Moonlight. That software, with some help from Tailscale, lets me stream Yuzu from home to my deck at work, and I cannot perceive the input lag though I'm no snob.
