Bsky seems like a good alternative now. Though unlike Mastodon, it does come with an expiration date until it turns to shit. I use it alongside mastodon as that is where most Twitter folks fled to. Just, I would not put all my eggs on the bsky basket.
Yeah, that's the part I'm worried about. I have the US snapdragon S10e, which cannot be modded to extend it's lifespan. Which is a mistake I hope to fix with my next phone.
I'm still using a Samsung S10e and its starting to show signs of wear, but I honestly don't like any of the replacements I've seen that are under $1000 and I don't want to spend that much on a phone. And unfortunately it looks hard to find older versions too.
I tried looking into old version of the Asus ROG or Red Magic phones that still performed better than my S10e but even those were still so pricy.
I always felt a kinship with girls while growing up and often thought of it as the idea that men and women really weren't as different as people kept saying they were.
No kid, you're trans. You weren't a shining example of how a boy can get along with girls. You were just a girl among other girls.
But with how abusive the game industry is, makes me never want to get a job at a company that makes games. But that also means I have a full time job doing something else, and the idea of doing my job and coming home to work on my passion project game also sounds nightmarish.
That's a good point. By each being its own server with own own rules and mods, my idea would make it harder on mods of the communities if people are not even aware of where they are posting.
I think how fragmented lemmy is hurts it. I enjoy Mastodon more, because it doesn't matter what server a person uses, you have but a single feed of all the people you follow.
But here on lemmy, every server has its own communities and might even be having the same conversations apart from each other. While reddit is a giant single space for each conversation.
If there was a way to unite feeds so that, for example, /c/gaming gave you posts from every community /c/gaming you are subscribed to or federated with (or /m/gaming for us mbin folks).
I think we could really see a proper exodus from reddit as it becomes proper alternative.
and of course, the classic lemmy experience would remain for those that don't want to do that. Much like old.reddit remained strong in the face of the site remake.
EDIT:
Maybe what we need instead is multi-reddits. Custom made aggregate feeds made by the user, so you have full control over your aggregated feed. And they don't need to have the same names in that case.
That I'm a girl now. Would have blown their mind that it was even possible. But then would have been disappointed in me for not having made a video game yet.
You mean bedsores, yeah its a pretty similar cause. The difference is that bedsores only cause damage to the skin from lack of blood flow caused by the extended pressure from lying down. While in horses, the extended pressure from lying down leads to poor blood flow in not just the skin, but the muscles and organs nearby too.
And yes, you can turn horses over too, but it takes multiple people and is really dangerous to everyone involved, so its not an action to be taken lightly.
It's not just horses, all large mammals have this problem from lying down too long. Horses can and do lie down every day, but for short periods of time. It's the extended lying down from illness or injury that kills them.
To add on why broken legs are fatal: its because horses are so big, that even with a sling, they cannot support themselves well on 3 legs. And lying down is also not an option as their own weight will crush their internal organs if they stay down for too long.
if they do OOT, he would have been perfect for Navi
