  • I don't think they've done something exactly like this, but they have aggressively tackled obesity in recent years, going as far as labeling all foods with excess fats, salt, and sugar. It's very visible on the package and it does influence what I buy.

But this is the way I found out we're doing this now. 😅

  • Honestly? Congrats, you're the dad many people wish they had. I'm not going to do that with my nephews, but I hope I get close to that aperture and understanding.

Not weird in my book! I used to shower with my parents when I was little.

  • Hmm, I don't think so. This is what a rule 1 ban looks like. Return2Ozma has a years-long history of breaking the rules, getting his stuff removed, and repeatedly offending despite the warnings. The ban from .world does not look like that. If anything, you could criticize the other instances a lot more for automating their bans. But, you know, if you have the actual text he was banned for, I'd love to read it.

  • I was reading Hiding in Plain Sight: The Invention of Donald Trump and the Erosion of America by Sarah Kendzior, and she spends almost half of the first chapter dissing on Missouri, where she lives. Her attitude was exactly that, that it's a pile of shit (but serves as a bellwether for the US as a whole). Lol!

  • I wouldn't say it's a definitive answer. While there's no expert consensus on the etymology of Mexico, it's often argued to mean the "place in the navel of the moon" in Nahuatl:

metztli (moon), xictli (navel or center) y co (place)

There's no reference to that on the list even though it's mentioned in another article:
