  • Missing the pop-tart body, otherwise we could have had a wild Nyan Moose

  • If it's something that is not very popular/known I do actually look at the code, but never all of it.

    I check:

    • most recent commits
    • for something that might have been hidden before one of the releases
    • deeper into utility files
    • look for suspicious patterns in code that might be trying to hide something. Mostly for/in external network call related code

This is of course very superficial and in general I try to avoid obscure projects that are not popular and well known.

  • Yeah holy shit. When I was starting out and tagged along a senior on a trip he literally hauled a big backpack of spirits with him.

Got out of that industry after a few years when I realized why every senior was drinking. The money was just not worth it for me.

  • I feel like I forget those that I just don't use often enough, and when I would need them I default to what I know (which is always a slower way than knowing a shortcut) in a "hurry".

Guess I should just print them and tape the paper next to my monitor.

  • I used !<index> Together with history by giving an index displayed in the history list, but did not know that you can use it like that! Also didn't know about ^

    Thanks for the tips!

  • Honestly this has crossed my mind several times as another reason why people don't put the phone on their ear. You might be on to something!

  • I'm convinced people forgot that our huge handheld devices are supposed to still be mobile phones that you are supposed to put against your ear when you call someone.

  • Like @baggins@lemmy.ca said, you'll be even more vulnerable.

If your country doesn't care about their own law then if you end up in authorities' radar you are going to suffer for not having law protect you.

Please don't do it. You'll just fuck up your own situation. If you want to help people just volunteer your time or something, not your identity or your own security.

  • It doesn't matter in what part of the world you are in, don't do this. Your number will 100% be used for illegal/malicious activity and you, as the registered number owner and holder will get into trouble.

  • I certainly hope so. Cats can be so quiet too so definitely hope this was just a constructed situation.

  • Doubling down after realization -technique, I like your style.

  • I'm hoping this was a joke and not real. Hopefully they have blocked the corner or the cat is never actually doing that.

  • "I've done it again" you say in your mind before you've even stopped oversharing

  • "Aand your first pet's name, I challenge you!"

  • This stupid trend (and many more like it) was most likely started by someone phishing for security questions of accounts honestly. But we were oblivious.

  • "I'm bored anyone wanna hang out?" or "Let's test if anyone remembers: write down when, where and how we met each other :-)"

Honestly my posts from back then were pretty mild. Some bit cringey but not too bad. I felt more embarassed about the stuff others wrote about me on my "profile wall" afraid that someone from my family sees it if they join facebook.

    Edit: added a word.

Konteksti: Kirjassa tulitaistelijoiden ammattikuva oli muutettu kirjanpolttajiksi
