  • Wait, what? Are you saying you actively don't like music? I mean i can (kind of) understand if a person doesn't really get a pleasure response from listening to music, but you're saying listening to music actually gives you a displeasure response?? ALL music? It's ok if that's the case, you didn't choose to have that response, but i just want to be clear that this is what you're saying?

  • Just pirate the music you want as mp3 files directly on your phone. No computer required. And if you only have a small amount of storage on your phone you can download like a hundred songs and then delete the ones you're tired of to make room for new ones, and if you ever wanna hear the old songs again you can just download them again.

  • I don't think starlink should be nationalized, but i do think the US government should create their own satellite internet system. Creating a satellite network like starlink is relatively easy if you already have the capability to frequently launch satellites into low earth orbit. The physical satellites themselves are relatively simple devices, and the software to make it all operate would take some work but also is relatively easy.

(Note that when I say "relatively easy" I'm talking about relative to other large hightech undertakings, like for example the James Webb telescope)

  • I heard this same story before in the US in 2016. It doesn't matter what the polls say, you have to assume that your candidate is actually behind in the race and they're going to lose unless you do everything you can do right now to help them win.

  • Yeah that's the part that jumps out of this scenario. 57 and 63 is generally way too young to be seeing significant age related cognitive decline. Both of them having worsening cognition + worsening mood problems sure sounds like an environmental toxin. Lead poisoning is a likely culprit. I would get them to a doctor to test them for heavy metals and other common harmful environmental materials.

  • For real. It seems MUCH more likely that this is simply the shape that these trees grow in. It's even easy to believe that they grow in this type of shape AND the direction it bends is determined by the wind. But it seems very very unlikely that this type of tree is normally a typical tree shape but has oddly wound up in this shape because of especially strong winds.

And i don't understand why people have to make things up in their titles. It would've gotten nearly as much upvotes if it was just titled "sideways tree" or something.
