Installing MPC-HC during K-Lite Code pack as my primary media player has taken place of VLC for me this last year. I have been using VLC as music player only with some Winamp-like no-viewport UI lately.
The comparison between the two in war industry is usually to label guided, and connotatively precision, munitions as missiles and unguided, and connotatively dumb or saturation fire, as rockets although in reality there is no strict distinction in these terms. Bias stems from this particular use of connotative terms.
Also note: Isreali strike in Lebanon wasn't exactly an "assassination" that would immediately connotate with spy movie type assassinations with silenced weapons, poison, long-range sharpshooter rifles or other discreet means of killing a single individual. It was a precision explosive munition fire from afar (artillery/long range missile launch systems/aircraft, I don't exactly remember which) that leveled a whole apartment-type of building.
Why should they bother with outdated gas chambers when there is a free inflow of innumerous artillery shells, strike jets, tank shells, rockets and such for all that time. Just hurl the free boomball and don't worry about anything.
Whenever I hear about "but we have such and such technologies that we didn't have in the olden times you so fondly mention" as if we deride the technological marvels as the cause of current worse times. We could simply had most, if not all, of these technological improvements on top of 90s movie styles, games quality, face to face conversations, outside activities, etc. had we not taken to radicalization of every thought via mass media plus manipulated social media. One major tenable improvement besides the mostly-unrelated technological improvements that we have over 90s is the more equal rights for a lot of gender varieties and equal rights for women, and that is just about it. We have almost regressed on a lot more societal aspects all over the word, including, and sometimes more prominently, in the first world countries.
These kind of takes can be on the extreme so as to attribute all these technological improvements to a person/party. In Turkey, we have these old conservatives that attribute smartphones, relative food abundance, computers, car abundance, restaurants to Erdoğan's reign, and arguing we wouldn't be having these otherwise. I feel the same energy from these types of comments.
The fuck does "returning to new port" mean? You don't fucking return to a new port. Stop trying to interpret even the agreements your ancestors put in place just because they don't suit how dumb of a move you did today. Internstional agreements aren't there to be imposed on others and lifted for you whenever you like.
As the other commenter said, there were and are alternatives. Should have utilized them. Turkey is keeping to the agreement, as it did when the matter was Russian warships last year. Were you crying for Russian warships then?
To be honest I would argue the sentiment that this approach isn't what most Israeli civilians envisioned for some years now, but seeing as how all actions taken by both IDF and Israeli government, I seriously doubt this guy is alone in his fascist thoughts when he bursts out these inhumane sentiments.
I would advise against defending these genocidal state apparatus, nor mixing the views of civilian population of Israel with these bloodthirsty colonialist monsters.
Israeli people are innocent in this conflict, as are Palestinian people. However, Palestinian people are too poor and oppressed from all sides to make a conscious decision to root out Hamas, so the part of responsibility that falls on them is hard to accomplish. Israeli people, on the other hand, still have enough faculties, although at the brink of destruction by the fear-mongering campaign of Bibi the Genocider, to carry out their part of the responsibility in forming peaceful living by dismantling their current terrorist and fascist government (at the elections at worst).
What I advise is don't try push the blame under a rug by making scapegoats out of a few people while letting the rest ruin the last semblance of your democracy.
Hey, to be fair the bully who is warning you to keep your lunch money safe from the other bully is the currently the USA. Immediate wrongdoing will always have a place, even in the face of likely worse wrongdoing that is set to be in the future.
And one thing also, for the upper comment: Drone striking a whole people, changing the strike type every decade, and carrying out genocide over a prolonged time does not make mass killings any better than a hands-on approach. One produces more reaction, fucks up generations completely, assimilates or annihilates whole cultures, the other is a swift solution in service of a fucked-up ethos. Neither is favorable in comparison.
Aliens will look at these images in a few thousand years from now on and say "Humans used to use these primitive AI tools to make digital art with weird perspectives and depiction styles."
Last month when Hamas terrorists were alleged to be doing the same, according to IDF, American diplomats were pressuring other countries to stop crying fro human rights and just condemn Hamas.
Can we start condemning IDF as a terrorist and genocider organization under control of a rogue government lead by a tyrant now? Just a little bit, please? We will condemn Hamas again, too, if it matters.
Similar situation with me. Although I don't complete my comments just to help Fediverse have more in it, because I don't think the shit stuff even I wouldn't like to be a part of it. Not saying you do it, cuz shit differs.
The times I hit cancel are usually when I can't conclude my arguments satisfactorily. Sometimes my argument isn't as contributive to the discussion, whether by sounding stretched or irrelevant, or by simply sounding incorrect or incoherent in the end. I bet a lot of people realize this as well when they put their thoughts into words and hit cancel. Nevertheless, it is a commendable action to both try to form the argument and send it to trash when you realize it isn't reasonable in forms of communication.
Mostly the reason I complete my comments and hit submit is that Fediverse feels way less toxic, has a lot wider views, actually discusses a lot different takes, and generally less hivemind about upvotes/downvotes, although they matter less here.
