Well you should learn who he is if you hate greedy corporate scumbags. He's out there fighting the good fight.

What issues did you have getting it to work? I have been playing hots on Linux for a few years now..nearly a couple of hours everyday, but I've not needed to install it for a long time so I've probably forgotten what was needed to set it up. Haha you just reminded me of that damn flashing broken steam sym link in my home folder, it's been there for years and I've yet to investigate or do anything about it.

Really unique! I've always liked that icon theme but never had a way to make it work with themes, but you've nailed it. Very cozy.

Did you try simply mounting /dev/sdc1 without the extra arguments? You also need to make a mount folder in /mnt, so

sudo mkdir /mnt/mydrive

Then

sudo mount /dev/sdc1 /mnt/mydrive

I would imagine you have to pay it off first then contact the carrier about unlocking.

Here to second this. The s5e is still a beast and feels even more amazing on lineage. They can be had for less than $200 on ebay/swappa as refurbs or lightly used. Still a bit more of a pain to install lineage on inititally than it is for some other devices (at least in comparison to my oneplus), completely worth freeing it from the shackles of Samsung though.

Haha, I kind of figured it started at 4chan. I think the whole "microwaving phones" originated from there as well.

I'm aware that in the past people believed the earth was flat. I'm saying that recently..like within the last 5 years or so it made a comeback for whatever reason.

I kind of feel like flat earth thing started out with people trolling, but a number of morons believed it to be true and now it's just trolls leading the idiots.

I remember at one point when I was younger and newer to computers I was typing a document for school and being driven nuts by the damn insert key. Like I had zero clue as to why everything I was typing was just being overwritten every time I needed to go back and change something. I still think the insert key is absolutey evil!

Thanks for the heads up. Just today I noticed the new fossify apps in fdroid.. didn't realize it was forked from simple mobile tools. I will be downloading and replacing my notes app when it becomes available.

I do remember reading somewhere that smartphones don't have a standardized bootloader like PCs do with BIOS and UEFI, and that it can vary between manufacturers and devices. Could be wrong about it. Also some manufacturers really don't want you to be able to install custom software, like Samdung in North America. If you buy a Samdung device in NA...even if it is carrier unlocked.. the bootloader will be impossible to unlock.

Probably similar to how manufacturers tell you it's for your own safety and "think of children!"

Probably not, think of it as a different distro. It is Debian based, and supports many different SBCs and not just the RPi. https://dietpi.com/

Then install log2ram to avoid constant writes to SD card. Or install DietPi instead of the stock OS, its installed automatically. Honestly DietPi just rocks for SBCs in general, good text UI and utilities.
