  • Don't worry, I watch neither TV shows nor movies. I would just rather do something else with my time, like programming stuff, learning something new, and playing video games. If I am stuck with nothing to do I will watch something on YouTube. I think I would rather watch content made by real people instead of studios if that make sense.

  • We keep our thermostat set to 64-65 during the winter time. Keeps the HVAC from running a lot. You just put on some cozy sweater, sweatpants and warm socks. During summer we keep the thermo higher, up to +10 more degrees.

  • Well if you're on ATT or any of it's mvno's good luck ever using any devices that isn't on their approved list. I can't even use my carrier unlocked Oneplus 7T. Really the only choice for device freedom in the "land of the free" is T-Mobile.

  • Instead of asking for Linux support maybe we should be asking companies for wine/proton support, since that works for Mac and Linux. Not ideal but probably more realistic and that would solve issues for all the non-windows desktops. I would also imagine it's less work for the company to just ensure it works on wine, than it is to compile a seperate client for Linux. I don't know about anti cheat stuff but personally I wouldn't run a game that wanted that level of access to my system.

  • Not sure why Netflix wouldn't be on the Aurora store. Anyway, I did use android TV on an OdroidXU4 for a few months. It worked well with an air mouse and made it work like a regular android TV. Only issue I had with it sometimes was getting it to wake up after being asleep for some time, but that issue could have been ROM+odroid (or air mouse) specific.

  • This is something that still happens. When I go on any road trips that involves driving on the interstate (US), I will always happen to glance at mile marker 66. I'm usually never thinking about it when it happens. I'll be totally absorbed into my phone (as a passenger of course!) or talking, and just happen to look up and right at mile marker 66. It always gives me a bit of a shock that I've noticed it again. Otherwise I don't really pay any attention to the little green mile marker signs on the side of the road. I am not at all religious or believe in anything like that. I guess it just means I die at MM 66 on some interstate somewhere. This started happening in my teens.

  • ZorinOS? I saw no talk of it here and I haven't personally used it in a couple of years. It uses gnome and can be set to mimic the look of windows, mac, or just stock gnome. It looks super clean, modern and pro. It's easy to use and based on ubuntu. It was a just works distro for me.

  • I remember that one as well! I was a kid during this time and other kids at school would give me a list of songs they wanted me to download and burn to disks, made a couple of bucks off of them lol. I was their hookup for pirated songs.
