  • Can you link the original?

I actually thought this was about the girl who bragged about getting an internship at NASA, continuing to cuss at one of her employers over ©The Company Still Known As Shitter

  • I recently rewatched the prequels with a friend and we quickly decided to count the number of scenes/lines that are used as memes and reactions.

Don't remember of the top of my head, but it was in the triple digits.

Star Wars is absolutely quotable on a minute by minute basis - if you like the meme culture around it : ^)

  • Damn, I've lost count of how often they were blinking

  • Drift!!

    Jump
  • Mass Effect had some real good dialogue for background chatting. This piece in particular is really immersive and funny to boot.

  • Would actually be a chad move

  • cat_irl

  • I see Dirk Gently's, I upvote. And that scene also fits so well :D

  • Major problem I forgot: I think the dialogues are text based, so you might have to read it out loud or wait until your kid can read at a comfortable speed (if she can't already). :)

  • Hey!

It's not coop, but I recently played "The Big Con" (with Gamepass) and it's more of a fun ride with an easy control scheme and decent puzzles. While the FeMC isn't the classic "strong female lead", she is a teenager growing up and develops throughout the game and it's story.

I found it very funny (your daughter might not get every joke, tough), depicts some good topics (trust, family and responsibility) in a very lighthearted way with a cute art style. :)

  • Good points, actually. I can't really comment on the nature of free will, as I don't know how common nihilism stands on that matter (I would say that a determined universe seems more "cruel", tough). Whether or not free will exists you could still argue that the actions of people are still the result of the universe

  • Right. I don't have much information on nihilism beyond "life is suffering", and I'm not sure it applies to these Pop-Nihilists. But I'm sure they world argue that no external entity is needed to deem the universe as cruel. If I were to make a guess, I'd say they would likely refer to the laws of nature in place of the universe, deeming "nature" (if you will) as cruel, or at least uncaring. Tough, this would be far from the initial "life is suffering" claim, I'm sure it would entail some form of effect nature has on the human psyche (e.g. causality/determinism and with that certain unappealing emotions like hopelessness or frustration). If anyone knows more or would tend to disagree, please let me know :)

All in all good meme, but not very coherent critique, in my opinion

  • Breaking your arm, as is tradition on a fine normal day

  • Actually playing Exoprimal and it's... Good. Better than expected, honestly. It's got some pacing issues (among others) and practically forces you to play for 5 hours or so to get more content, but man. The father you get in the story, the better it gets (gameplay wise, but story is also good imo). Also noteworthy: except server issues (not that common tough, for me) I haven't got any bugs or glitches, at least none I remember. Kind of a rare sight these days

  • Liftoff! @lemmy.world

Would it be possible to sort saved posts into groups or folders?

  • Rami Malek staying true
