  • "Please tax us more as long as it makes the orange man mad". You people are crazy.

If Carney really wanted to stick it to Trump and help Canadians at the same time, he could change piracy laws to decriminalize pirating US content or better yet anything other than Canadian content. But nope, he wants us to pay more for the privilege of having US data grace our routers and phones.

  • Everyone hates Trump so much but have learned nothing. Don't you get it? Parties are just a tool for populists, and that is exactly what Carney is.

I am definitely not a communist but didn't Marx say something about false consciousness? Keep worshiping the rich because they are on your "team" and you'll pay for it. Yeah elect a billionaire to fight another billionaire and the people are somehow going to benefit? It's ridiculous.

  • So a non-citizen who was convicted of a federal crime in 2023 was being deported and he died in custody?

Is the media trying to convince us to feel bad for a drug trafficker because the agency who arrested him is associated with Trump through other media articles? Do you not see the manipulation? Makes me want to puke.

  • Why do some people think culture can be inherited genetically but criminality is entirely a social construct eventhough one clearly has more brain correlation than the other. My ancestors were aboriginal (I won't use made up terms like indigenous or native because historical evidence shows those are farcades) and someone sent this to me. Made me really think. I only see myself as Canadian the same as any black or white Canadian. Nationalism is so much more unifying.

  • The voices of opposition in the article are MPs of the NDP and members of the CCLA. Both "left" organizations. I don't know what your agenda is to disparage discourse from sources you disagree with. I guess it's a hard pill to swallow that this isn't a left or right fight anymore. It's an authoritarian vs libertarian fight. The Liberal party has been authoritarian for some time. When you start associating libertarianism with the "right", well... welcome to indoctrination my friend.

  • People on the right are already Christian. This is just a psyop from the Trump government to convert more people to Christianity by thinking it's cool to be anti-Trump and Christian and still be in a position of power since the left dynamic is all about chasing power. Talk about 5D chess...

  • The same people who wanted to lock up innocent people who were completely healthy and working from home but not compliant with vaccine mandates during Covid want confirmed drug addicts on the brink of death and dealers selling literal poison to remain in the community with support and without intervention.

Tell me again how you are not manipulated by mass media?

  • It's funny how the "left" thinks they "won". Carney is more like Trump than any other politician we've ever had. People like Trump and Carney are ideological and don't care about politics. They care about their ideas. The party is just an avenue to enact their ideas.

This is 100% populism and people have a hard time separating the party from the person. They assigned emotions and concepts to a party (the Liberal party for example) and believe the leader is beholden to those concepts. Carney isn't a Liberal just like Trump isn't a Republican.

Canadians have no idea what they unleashed. We're all going to pay the price because some people choose to vote for parties instead of policies.

  • Why were there five, yes five poll workers at my polling station (which is just a small library) standing next to a sign and pointing in the same direction of the sign? Is that worth $28/h for 5 people of our tax dollars? Let's do the math.

Polls are open for 12 hours.

    28 x 5 = 140 140 x 12 = 1680

According to elections Canada there are roughly 20 000 polling stations in Canada (Source: https://electionsanddemocracy.ca/canadas-elections/canadas-election-process/elections-step-step)

    1680 x 20 000 = 33 600 000

Being conservative and assuming each polling station has the same amount of poll workers, it's costing us $33.6 Million dollars for people to do the job of a literal lamp post.

  • The best way to get people on your side of an issue isn't to yell at them on the side of the road and disrupt the daily lives of people.

You need to include community service in your cause.

Here's a great idea... Why don't these "organizers" organize something like a community trash cleanup on a massive scale? You can solicit awareness, donations and all the proceeds from the recycling collected can go to a Palestinian charity.

That's not going to happen though. People don't want to actually work for their causes. They just want to yell and that's why I and many other Canadians have such a hard time giving a damn.

  • The ironic thing is, that once you actually take physical sciences and start to understand how the brain functions, you learn that males and females have very different brains and these differences in career and educational choices are completely normal.

The "problem" is exclusive to mediocre sociologists and their ego.

  • The way people (especially on the left) talk about politics is very reminiscent of ancient anthropomorphism. People like to assign human emotions to countries in order to judge their relationships. Understanding the nuances of political structure is very difficult, and if you don't understand (I am one of them) it's better if people don't get involved.
