Never pre ordering anything for any reason ever has been a pretty good piece of advice to live by, I've found.

I fucking loved this game. I "acquired" it one night just to see how it was and ended up getting completely wrapped up in it and played through to the morning. Immediately bought the whole game next day. Not sure how updates and stuff are but the core gameplay is so much fun.

Well to balance that out indie games are normally a lot cheaper. Underrail is only $9 off on GoG but that's a 60% discount. It's rare to get a kinda modern AAA game that cheap.

Fuck I miss that $5 hot n ready. When I was younger picking that up with some crazy bread and heading back to my dorm to watch some football was my favorite Sunday pastime 😭

Here's an article by The Verge for a quick run down on what's different. Sounds like basically everything got a slight face lift, however not enough to warrant the Steam Deck 2 moniker. Better battery, slightly better chip, better cooling, Wifi 6E, and more... Sounds like a no-brainer to buy this one over last "gen." Not quite enough for a straight up upgrade for me though.

There's alternatives for all of that, why are you stuck on Google? You could create a new email on a different site or host your own and there would be no differences between it and a gmail account. For photo services you could build a nas that has auto backup and never pay a penny again to Google. I understand they are pervasive in the modern world so it's hard to escape but there's always options.

I've bought Samsung for the past 5 years now and have never had an issue with bloat if you buy from Samsung. If you're buying it from a carrier then yeah there's probably a ton of crap preloaded. Imo Samsung just offers too much of a complete package to pass up. Pixel is good but hardware leaves some to be desired. The cute software quirks just don't make it up for me.

Damn, that looks great. Love the watchface and the fact it has gmt markings. Wish it was easily available stateside.

I honestly thought the same for a little bit, buying a phone with no camera bump is literally all I want... And comboing it with a foldable is a dream scenario for me. This moment @ 2:44 kinda kills the dream though. You can see it's kind of cocked and it rocks during the video. I just hope one day people realize cameras nowadays are all so similar that we don't need to keep making bumps 10x the depth of the phone.
