I use wireless charging at night and at work. I have a stand that charges my phone, ear buds, and watch simultaneously, which replaces three cables with one and keeps my nightstand/desk free of clutter. I use cables only when I need to charge quickly.

This makes me wonder if DOGE is going after disability payments - I think it's called SSI? I always thought that social security, SSI, and all of those programs were the same thing, but it seems like it's a lot more complicated. I know a couple folks who have life-long disabilities and have never been able to work. Without those payments they would just die I guess.

I don't think they're trolling, this seems to genuinely be their belief and warrants discussion. The poster mentioned recently that they have autism, and as a neurodivergent person myself I can attest that it often takes some back-and-forth to realize when I'm wrong.

When I was deep in the Reddit hole I was obsessed with getting upvotes and avoiding downvotes. It was a dopamine hit. When I moved to Lemmy I joined an instance that doesn't allow or show downvotes, and it has been a breath of fresh air.

Men don't give a shit about who is in their bathroom, in my experience. Women, on the other hand, often stopped and harassed me when I was presenting female but cut my hair short (AFAB).

I'm using a Samsung Odyssey Ark and use PIP or PBP to have my desktop and work laptop displayed together. No matter what I try, text becomes illegible on Windows in this mode, but it works flawlessly in Linux.

It worked for me. I was convinced to switch to Linux after joining Lemmy and I'm blown away every day at how much better it works. It's just faster, smoother, and even has better compatibility with my monitor.

I'm on the top floor of a poorly-insulated midrise, and summers are absolutely miserable. I have a window AC in the bedroom, otherwise it's all ceiling fans and ice packs. I bought a few "pillow insert cooling pads" (basically a Chillow) and just put them on my neck or in my shirt during the day. Frozen water bottles also help.

Asshole first is obvious. Assholes are great for pointing out pitfalls in new projects, and raise legitimate concerns. The bore is next. They'll approach the project with the same indifference as the average end user, and the asshole will lend them a voice for their grievances. The idiot is last. They'll be the workhorse to move the project along.

I wouldn't recommend it. I did this once (didn't see the cop). He just pulled up next to me at the next red light and shook his head in disapproval, but I fully expected to be pulled over. Tbf I'm white and was presenting female at the time, so I imagine it would have gone differently if I was any other demographic.
