  • It can be tough to get an invite to a private tracker, but that's all I've been using in my 20 years of torrenting and I've never received an ISP letter. I don't use a VPN. Just keep an eye out for open sign-ups. Once you're in, it's essential to keep a good ratio.

  • I'm a Microsoft 365 admin. It's the easiest job I've ever had and it pays 6 figures. I don't even have a bachelor's, but no techie person likes Microsoft 365 so they avoid it like the plague, which I saw as an opportunity.

  • I shouldn't have to anticipate that someone might be breaking the law. It's hard enough to cross the street or open my door when I'm only dealing with law-abiding traffic. Maybe those people should anticipate that they're going to get knocked off their bike by a car door when they willingly and knowingly break traffic laws.

  • In my state bicycles that are riding on the road must obey all traffic laws as if they were a motorcycle. I see cyclists break those laws every day and there will never be consequences.

  • Go to brunch at an upscale restaurant and find the table filled with white women drunk on mimosas. One of them is always a lawyer. Befriend her. It's easiest if you're gay, or can pretend to be.

  • I was in a similar boat previously and can attest that seltzer helped me shake the habit. And then I got bored of that so I just drink water, sometimes with flavor packets (think Crystal Light). I still buy a bottle of diet caffeine free coke now and then, but it's a rare, special treat.

  • And yet the traffic rules don't stop cyclists from riding the wrong way down my one-way street a dozen times a day. I've nearly hit them with my car door or walked in front of them with my dog because I'm checking the other direction, where cars would be coming from. No cop is going to pull over a bicycle so they just ignore the rules.
