This is very much depends on the person but give up on trying to use too many digital productivity tools and get yourself a notebook and keep your own lists.
I started noticing I was spending a lot more time managing the tools than working on the tasks they were supposed to manage. Also I can't always carry the tools with me if they aren't mobile apps.
Keeping a notebook planner is a lot less digital distraction outside of the task management too
You can develop your own process and method of task journaling that works perfect for you instead of trying to get the tools to work for you.
This method allows me to plan and visualize work for a span of days and digital tools tended to be siloed and hard to keep track of together.
I keep different journal books for different aspects of life.
I also find it much easier to manage life if I have a place for lists as well as note taking together and if I need to remember something, all I need to do is flip the page.
Downside: I've become obsessed with collecting gorgeous and beloved journal books and my favorite company is Peter Pauper Press. I also use a pilot varsity fountain pen and I'm a fancy bitch now.
I just want to chime in and say that you can take them camping, but I wouldn't suggest it as a first time bird owner or without knowing your bird for several years first. My parents have two parrots and they take them camping several times a summer and they really enjoy the outdoors. They've had about a dozen different birds over 50 years and know their birds well. They are very careful in these ways:
Both birds have special mobile cages that go traveling with them, and perches too. The birds are trained to travel comfortably in these cages. You NEED cages to put them in at night and also when you can't supervise them closely.
Tempurature is a big deal for birds and cold and heat can easily kill them. My parents only take them camping because they have a camper with heat and air on that the birds can retreat to when needed. I would never do it if you are tent camping where you can't control the temp.
The birds are trained and very attached to my parents. They are comfortable they arent going to take off. My parents live in a rural area and had already spent years outside on the front porch with their parrots to get comfortable with that first.
The birds wings are clipped so they can't fly.
They NEVER leave the birds sides unless they are in their cages inside the camper. Wild animals could be a problem.
Once you have a bird for a few years and are besties, you might think about the possibilities of going camping together. But it would take a lot of work before hand
I started a charitable school club. Back in the day it was the hot thing to sell candy bars in school for fundraising, and there is a company that existed specifically for school organizations to join a program and do so. No staff wanted to be the faculty sponsor of my club, so we didn't have any space to call ours.... Well some fat asshat (hindsight is ...) who was the head of community education office where I helped out on lunch (a whole different story) said "hey! You can store your chocolate stock in our closet." Well, eventually, about $100 or more of chocolate bars went missing. He actually told me they "went bad" and threw them away. (He ate them.) When someone realized there was a problem with the books, they called my parents in, it was implied I either ate the candy or stole the money. I tried explaining what I thought happened, but nobody listened and my Dad didn't do much. My club was dissolved, and I was blocked from any extra curricular activities from then on, including trying to get into an advanced class that would have changed my life. Word spread amongst the faculty ( I'm pretty sure there was a meeting) and my favorite teachers forgot I existed.
And then... And I'm only just now realizing this fucked up detail.... One of those favorite teachers who turned her back on me, was my theater teacher.... because it was an actual class I was able to continue theater class but I was cast as Agustas Gloop in theater class play of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.....
Not trans here but, NO. There is no "debate" or "discussion" to be had about anyones right to exist without persecution. Full stop. It's not your business to "discuss" it and your opinion about someone's existence is irrelevant. It's not "censorship". What you're not so slyly complaining about here is that you're feeling the consequences of your bigotry. Take it elsewhere.
It's not AI and it's not fake. (Well it's a fake tree, but the image is real.) It's a regular cell phone tower intentionally decorated like a tree to make it "blend in" because some cities require that. TIL That these aren't as common as I thought lol Here in my state we have both pine/redwood (like this) and palm tree types.
Yeah, I was thinking of editing my comment regarding this - lots of companies have started charging fees if you DONT use autopay. (They can call it a discount all they want, but the price you're paying with autopay is the price. They're really charging you a fee if you don't.) Practically speaking, it is likely cheaper if you pay 1 overdraft fee a year than paying $10 a month for manual payment. But, I'm a crotchety old stubborn man who somehow has the idea he can change a giant corporation by giving them a fake middle finger.
I'm decades old. The lesson I learned over decades is to NEVER sign up for autopay. NEVER. THERE'S NOT A COMPANY OUT THERE THAT BUGS YOU FOR AUTO PAY THAT WON'T ABUSE YOU.
