As for my memory, I don't know the speed and I doubt that speed is the problem here because when I use Ungoogled Chromium, the javascript pop-up opens smoothly.

I can't find that option in my login screen's gear icon menu. I think that the reason why I can't use Wayland is because I have a Radeon HD5450 graphics card that is 15 years old.

I changed it via Debian's Settings app.

I'm using X11 and Gnome.

I have Flatpak Firefox and it's giving me the same issue as Firefox ESR.

I'm using Firefox ESR because Flatpak Firefox started freezing after a couple of updates and ESR is super stable.

As for my desktop: Gnome - X11

Once you have Flatpak setup you can run sudo flatpak install firefox

I already have Flatpak installed and it has the same problem as Firefox ESR (which comes with Debian by default, if my memory serves me correctly)

Also, is there a reason you are using Debian? If that’s what you want then that is fine but it isn’t something people use for the new packages.

I have used Debian-based distros in the past like Mint and Ubuntu so I wanted to use Debian itself out of curiosity.

Lowered my monitor's refresh rate to 60 Hz and it didn't resolve the issue

I opened Firefox 134.0.2 (64-bit) that I installed via Flatpak—got the same slow pop-up issues.

This is apparently the latest version of Firefox ESR that's available in Debian's repository.

I used these commands to update Debian:

sudo apt update -y && sudo apt upgrade -y && sudo apt autoremove

Look, I don't want to argue for the sake of arguing but this is what I mean. Today I made two posts and within 10-13 minutes the posts made it to the top of the page (with "hot" being the sorting setting). One post got no upvotes and the other one only got one.

Yes, I know that but eventually the new posts used to show up at the top of the page after 1-5 minutes.

Now, new posts don't show up at the top even after 30 minutes.

They did get to the top up until late last week

I use "hot" as my default sort setting.

Everything was fine until Thursday or Friday of last week.

The sorting setting isn't the problem.

Thanks, this problem appeared randomly for me and also went away randomly.

I was not using it while recording this video.

Tell me about it, it took me a long time to get out of google's ecosystem. As cliche as it sounds, you have to do it one step at a time

I'm happy that syncing works for you but privacy is very important to me so I don't want to upload my data to someone else's server(s).

I'm going to experiment with uninstalling flatpak firefox completely and reinstalling it to see if it'll fix the issue.

If that doesn't work, I'll try using firefox downloaded & installed with apt.

That's the problem, when I go to about:profiles, Firefox says that the root directories for the two profiles are:

• profile1 = /home/mario/.mozilla/firefox/ctd2ygzm.profile1
• profile 2 = /home/haque1/.mozilla/firefox/fk2o00h5.profile2

But I can't find the directories for either of these profiles in /home/mario/.mozilla/firefox/

I have enabled the "Show hidden files" option in Thunar and I have even launched it as root from the terminal (sudo thunar) and I still can't find these profile directories.
