  • l mostly agree and i don't really ever fudge, but i don't really like instant death, as it's mostly just luck. If they die from poor choices or failed death rolls i don't mind, but like, i've had players at full healh "die" because the monster rolled a crit and the highest number on both damage rolls. I ended up just downing him and giving him a cool scar after he got up cause that's bonkers and it was literally the first fight of the campaign, lol.

I might make changes to the number of monsters or their stats, but that's always something i do before the fight, never during it. Homebrewing is alot different than fudging imo. Once the players have seen it, it's set in stone.

  • This isn't an english specific trait. Lots of languages have something similar.

For instance, in portuguese we do the same for words that end on the letter S.

Ex: Lápis (Pencil), Vírus (Virus), Ônibus (Bus), etc.

  • You've led me on quite the rabbit hole of sex toy technology, kind stranger. Here are some of my finds:

    And my favorite:

As a bonus, i also learned the term Teledildonics, which is cool.

  • Idk, that feels a bit too technical. Trying to apply real world physics to D&D breaks way more things than just this, so we gotta be careful when to do it. Gotta keep just enough believability and consistency, without letting it ruin the feel.

For me, the fact that "starwars lasers go pew pew" is enough reason to disregard how sound actually works in real life, lol.

  • Here's my own controversial take:

Any and all alcoholic beverages taste like garbage, people simply get used to the bad taste because they're expected to drink it and/or are alcoholics.

Countless times i've been offered drinks that "taste good", or that "you can barely taste the alcohol" and every single time they taste terrible. Even when there's a hint of flavor behind it all, it is utterly ruined by the taste of alcohol.

No amount of seasoning is gonna make your food taste good if you've already taken a dump on it.

  • I mean... When it comes to "glorious Nippon" i sort of get it, to a degree.

If you still find yourself being properly represented a character then more power to you, but a lot of times the addition of trans characters to anime is less due to respect and more fetishization. I would hardly call japan progressive for lusting over trans women while also calling them the T slur.
