  • Neither one of those will help you as a developer. If anything, I would look at that combo and be skeptical. Project+ would be a better choice. A good GitHub profile would be even better. But I don’t think you will have much trouble as a Java developer. There are still a lot of jobs out there.

  • This guy is a quack, a disgrace to the medical profession and an all around moron. The fact that he graduated from Harvard says a lot more about Harvard than it does about him. He should lose his license.

  • DeSantis is a POS. I live in his state. He’s a racist fuck and he hates LGBT people. The schools here barely have any books in the libraries and now there is new curriculum teaching that black people benefited from slavery. He is deranged.

Ramaswamy is another scumbag. I can’t say whether he’s worse than DeSantis. He might be. He certainly doesn’t believe in the same kind of America most of us do.

Unfortunately, the nominee is going to be one of this pitiful bunch of assholes. Personally, I think Haley is the least toxic, although that’s not saying much. I just don’t want Trump, DeSantis or Ramaswamy.

  • It doesn’t matter. He has no chance of winning anything. Regardless of the shitty things he’s done, I appreciate that he’s calling out Trump now. Republican voters need to hear it from Republicans and I don’t really care how the media paints Christie as long as they deliver the message. Trump is a bigger threat than ever. Most candidates either support him or tiptoe around without acknowledging how dangerous he is. We need someone to take him head on. Frankly, it’s better when those people are former supporters who got to see things up close.

  • Yeah, everyone knew his deal before he was sworn in. Nobody is telling him anything. Maybe he heard some rumors. More likely, he’s just talking shit about what most of us assume is going on. That’s how con men operate. They tell lies that are easy to believe and that you want to believe.

  • I hope that orange bastard Trump goes to prison or dies in 2024. I prefer prison because he needs to pay for his crimes, but dead is good too. The only thing is it would have to be a really dumb accident out in public so there wouldn’t be any conspiracy theories. Maybe he could fall off the stairs while getting off his plane and crack his skull on the tarmac.

  • I use it for a couple things, although my primary browser is Firefox. I use Google Workspace for my business so I have a Chrome profile set up for that. Another business I’m involved with uses M365. It’s easy to set up another Chrome profile for that. I like to keep work separate from my personal stuff and this setup works well for me.

  • As others have pointed out, this sounds like a sleep disorder. A healthy person who gets enough sleep should not have trouble staying awake for an 8 hour shift. This can be a serious condition and needs to be checked by a doctor. The good news is sleep disorders - and there are various kinds - can be resolved fairly quickly with treatment. Going straight to stimulants is not the answer. You should start with your primary physician and consider seeing a specialist for a sleep study.

  • I don't know if that's a fair criticism. I think I first saw something about this thing yesterday. Not much of a marketing push. I had to look it up to see what the heck it is. It seems to have a very specific and narrow use case. I'm sure it's a nice option for people with that need and works well enough, but it's not exactly something the masses are clamoring for. There's similar tech out there and they are sort of niche products. I don't expect this thing to be selling like hotcakes.

  • They would send you on your way. There’s a show - I think on Apple - called Black Bird about a real life serial killer with a history of false confessions. It’s kind of a significant plot point. Good show.

  • $23M of the loss is from the first half of this year. There was a $10M regulatory settlement and another $11M spent on "legal investigations", which covers the bulk of that. I don't have the time nor the inclination to really dig into it, but you can look at the filing here: https://www.sec.gov/ix?doc=/Archives/edgar/data/0001849635/000119312523276045/d408563ds4a.htm

They lost $50M last year. I haven't looked at that filing so I don't have a clue what they spent that on besides $5M on "legal investigations" in the first half.

This company is a total scam. It's basically a slush fund for Trump. What would probably be more of a bombshell than the spending is where the money is coming from. It's all but guaranteed that it's primarily foreign money. Probably also some rich MAGA wackadoos buying influence.
