  • So professional drivers, watched by their employer, are using those to escape the control.

Even if they allow them to disable the GPS, it would be a reason for firing smb. Or to cut their wage since, drivers with GPS on will get a bonus if they are faster. Or sth shit like that.

  • Well you know that you can use the decimals?

    How is - 40.000001°F more fine than - 40.00000000001°C?

23°C is a nice room temperature.

18°C is a bit chilly but still a comfortable temperature.

If you want to go for a finer destinction then we cann say 18.5°C is warmer but I personally can't feel the difference.

  • Sounds promising xD. Just like my totally stable debian install that suddenly decided to reboot after 60 seconds. (probably my fault but I can't figure out what is actually the problem.)

  • You seem like an expert.

    I want the following software:

    • kde x11
    • flatpak
    • iscsi
    • qemu/kvm
    • timeshift
    • kup

Will I have any issues when using nixos with either installion or documentation?

I mean apt works for me fine. But even mint is somehow having issues with the native steam binary. The flatpak runs though....

  • I am fine with systemd. It works. It is more complicated than init.d

Before you copied some random file you edited and put it in init.d and it worked. Now you copy some systemd services file into systemd and run enable and start and it doesn't work because you don't know what you are doing.

I didn't know what I was doing in init.d too but now I have to learn systemd services. Once you know a bit it will work then (probably)

  • I would have recommended mint too. Currently running it since I betrayed debian or it betrayed me.

Debian would be my next recommendation however pure debian is a bit tricky for beginners especially.
