It is bad news because it isn't actually Spidey and now we have to suffer the disappointment.

I get the comments that are suspicious of the circumstances of her death, but I believe it. I can completely understand how it feels to see abusers go unpunished and I can't even imagine what it must have been like seeing these beasts live their best life as she had to live with the scars of their abuse and never find justice.

Give him a break. Commiting ethnic cleansing and rampant genocide can be very time consuming and distracting.

I was interested in Diablo IV when it was released which, after a few videos, led YouTube to recommend Asmondgold. I watched one or two of his videos and the next thing I know my feed is full of maga and manosphere trash. Most of it had innocuous titles and thumbnails but a few minutes in I was being bombarded with lies, bad faith arguments, logical fallacies. Don't even get me started with where funny Garand Thumb videos will lead. All I could think of was how Al Queda and ISIS recruited people with videos posted online.

EDIT: For the most part, I liked Asmondgold, but the algorithm leads from him to very dark places.

I thought about getting an M4 MacBook Pro with all the bells and whistles for that same reason but I just don't need it.

You can self host a lot on something like that.

The one place I see a huge leap is in MacBooks. The capabilities of a 2015 Intel based MBP are laughable when compared to an M4 based 2025 MBP. I use an MBP for my music production and I just cannot make it choke, no matter what I throw at it.

I remember when a ten year old laptop was just trash, unable to even boot a modern OS. Current hardware capacity exceeds our actual demand by so much that a ten year old computer is still adequate for most users (assuming you aren't on Windows).

My 8 year old 1080ti graphics card can run most games perfectly fine on a 1080p/60 screen (still the most common spec budget monitor). I would not be surprised if it that PC hits 10+ years of gaming without a real need for upgrade.
