My main systems are all Linux, except for my music production MacBook Pro. The experience on an M3 Mac is just flawless.

Like, you know how I handle this when I’m in your partner’s position? I say “cool, sounds fun, please do the dishes when you get in, I’ll probably be asleep by then.” If I wake up a little when they get in, I roll over and cuddle. Done.

I bet that my heart was not the only one to skip a beat reading that. There are so many people stuck in toxic relationships that have no idea that such a healthy response is possible. They either brace for impact or preemptively attack in self defense.

I have been with my wife for 31 years and in my opinion the problem here is your partner, not you. My wife used to ask me to do all sorts of asinine things when we were young "to prove to her that I cared". Stupid stuff like doing a specific thing every night without fail, which is impossible for someone with ADHD. These sort of demands were toxic and all they accomplished was to damage our relationship.

If your partner cares about you, they should be considerate of your condition and make an effort to accommodate you. Also, interfering or putting pressures on your therapy/support is unacceptable.

Please do not damage yourself for someone else.

To be technically correct, as far as I understand it Epstein was not and did not cater to pedophiles (prepubescent). They catered to Ephebophiles (14-19) and Hebephiles (pubescent, or 11-14).

Men who were adults in the seventies and eighties (boomers for sure) had a strange fascination with teen girls. It's all over film and music of the era. I'm Gen-X and I found it as gross then as I do today. I never got how the culture at large didn't have a huge problem with it.

These types of requests always backfire. We got a similar request when I worked for a very large corporation and the very first thing I did was create a backup of our Lotus Notes and take it home. Just in case.

Netflix was one of the biggest reasons movie studios were freaking out about piracy. Back then people would use Netflix, a DVD rental by mail service, to rip or copy movies in bulk. Even my father (I'm 52) had a machine dedicated to copying Netflix DVDs. So it is very ironic that Netflix streaming ended up being the "solution" to a problem they had exacerbated.

The problem they have now is that it is very easy and cheap to rip streams, and bandwidth is fast and plentiful (vs early 2Ks). People rent a movie off of Prime, rip the stream, and upload it to Mega out of spite.
