  • It is a legal requirement now to have back up cameras. This thing also doesn't have any airbags, or seatbelts in the back when converted. There is nothing connected to the HVAC controls, you would need a heater box. They haven't even bothered with a plywood mock interrior is all just 3D printed garbage, literally falling apart in the reviewers hands.

The Chinese have tried this approach for low volume projects with a space frame and bonded plastic and carbon fibre panels, but its just too labour intensive to be practical for any sort of volume. The space frame still has to be painted, so you don't save any money in a painting setup.

  • OP is either referring to a drip filter, which makes brown coloured water, or one those cartridge things, which forces boiling water through ground coffee beans. In either case, swirling the jug is pointless.

  • Head to Google, type in any made-up phrase, add the word “meaning,” and search. Behold! Google’s AI Overviews will not only confirm that your gibberish is a real saying, it will also tell you what it means and how it was derived.

definition of saying yellow is a true badger

The saying "yellow is a true badger" is not a standard or recognized idiom. The phrase "that's the badger" (or similar variations) is a British idiom meaning "that's exactly what I was looking for" or "that's the right thing". The term "yellow" is often used to describe someone who is cowardly. Therefore, there's no established meaning or relationship between "yellow" and "true badger" in the way the phrase "that's the badger" is used.

    still didn't work.

  • The bird was named for its similarity in colouration to the Eurasian magpie; it was a common practice for early settlers to name plants and animals after European counterparts.[11] However, the Eurasian magpie is a member of the Corvidae, while its Australian counterpart is placed in the family Artamidae (although both are members of a broad corvid lineage).

  • This is pretty standard treatment. There are only a limited number of holding cells in an airport, moslty for men.

If there is no returning flight that day they are sent to a local jail (known as a remand centre outside of the US) and stripping and searching is standard at those places.

The women said that they were going to do work in the US.

  • Apparently its based on the field rotations in the motor or something, remember this is a fixed gear vehicle. I don't think ICE cars use a gear either anymore, its based on the crankshaft sensor for the EFI, multipled by a gear ratio figure in the ECU. Even pushbikes don't have gear sensors for speedo reading, they count magnetic fluctuations in the rim.

  • The world does not trade in US dollars, thats a myth. If a Japanese company buys something in Australia, they convert from yen to AUD, they don't go through the USD. Thats not what "reserve currency" means.

There used to be a thing called the Gold Standard. The amount of gold you had in reserve was linked to the amount of money you could print. The gold standard failed because it was too restrictive.

After WW2, the US proposed that instead of a lump of metal, money creation would be tied to the national economy. The US economy would be the "gold reserve" of the world and all the other currencies woudl be compared to it. The goal was to reduce the amount of foreigners using USD, as this was causing American notes to leak overseas and made inflation difficult to determine.

The Euro is used over a range of economies that are only loosely tied together. Although crude monetary policy like interest rates are common, tax collection is up to individual countries, so the Euro is not a stable value as there are too many variables.

  • I like how people think this or the sabotaging of social secuity will lead to privatisation.

Yeah they could do that - but they are not. There aren't any plans, secretive or otherwise. they are just wrecking things and leaving nothing behind.

The Replublican party is opposed to social security - private or public. They want you to work until you die. They have literally said this repeatedly for 100 years, what is there not to get ?

  • In fact I believe the odometer reading is calculated from the electricty consumption, not from a meter in the gearbox. So if the range reading is inaccurate (and they are) it would throw out the mileage as well.

Should be super easy to prove too… Take an assortment of Teslas to a 1 mile stretch of road, drive it up and down 20 times, measure the mileage before and after.

Not necessarily, the incorrect readings may only occur at certain speeds or conditions.

  • That's not what happended.

The Supreme Court refused to prosecute Trump (for a blatantly illegal act) and ruled that he was immune to prosecution for "official acts" which they refused to define.

Then they slow walked the case back to a lower court - deliberately - so the determination was not made until after the election.

Then in a state court, Trump was convicted, but the judge delared there was no penalty "because only a federal court could apply punishment".

Then a couple of days later the DoJ dopped the case because "the president is immune from prosecution".
