Perhaps the most damning statement came from former Israeli Ambassador to the United States Michael Herzog, who said, “God did the State of Israel a favor that Biden was the president during this period, because it could have been much worse. We fought [in Gaza] for over a year, and the administration never came to us and said, ‘ceasefire now.’ It never did. And that’s not to be taken for granted.”

You should check out some ideologies. You probably realize, but there's way more than red vs blue. You kind of sound like an anarchist. You don't necessarily have to give yourself a strict label, but it's a good idea to see what they're about. That's why I say political leanings, because it's possible to find ideas you latch onto that don't all fit neatly into one camp. Or don't and just continue to do the actions you feel led to.

Critical thinking is a skill that requires teaching and practice. If children are not given that preparation they won't have that skill in adulthood. That's why authoritarian governments care so much about controlling and/or limiting access to proper education.

Space and time are not the same thing, they are facets of spacetime. We are only able to traverse space because we can properly perceive it, we do not have the ability to traverse time. I obviously understand the movie is fiction, it's still a decent attempt at showing what it might be like to be able to truly perceive and traverse time. Our way to understand it (as depicted in Arrival) is the ability to actually see and experience the past and the future. You and I and no being we know about has the ability to see anything except the present.

As an example, the screen you are reading this on presents a 2d image. It does not have the ability to produce a 3d image (though we can make illusions that seem like it sometimes). That screen is constantly moving through 3d space (on spaceship Earth), but you still wouldn't say that it's presenting a 3d image because it doesn't have the ability to directly interact with that space. Just like how we are moving through time but don't have the ability to directly interact with that spacetime.

No we don't, we perceive the present. We perceive length width and height, and have the ability to traverse that space. We don't have currently have the ability to experience anything other than the current moment. Have you seen the movie Arrival? That's an attempt to show what truly perceiving time would be like.

I would like to do that, but my comments on negative topics definitely produce more discussion. Just like everywhere else, negative is easier than positive.

I don't think I was totally clear. It's not that I think they have no fault in the matter, but I don't think they're the root of the problem. Nor do I think that being mad at them does anything to address our current situation. My point is, direct the blame at those most responsible. The oligarchs and the right wing politicians have earned at least 99% of the blame for where we're at. I don't see any point in attacking the victims of propaganda, even if you think you wouldn't have fallen for it.

I believe that, but it's important to remember that there's very little consistency in schooling. There's a wide range of quality in public schools even within my state. Before you even mention private schools with their own agendas

I don't love "dumber than dogshit" to describe a group of people, even Trump supporters. It places blame and denigrates those people while giving a pass to the environment they grew up in that gave them indoctrination instead of real education.
