  • it's why I said no to a discord server that I am chronically online in. I don't remember what was the active user count back then, probably just 100. the admins offered a mod position because I'm a good boi. I know I'll get angry at the slightest thing. but i always managed to stop kyself from posting angrily off the cuff. I am not fit to moderate strangers, even if their familiar strangers. dunno how I'd do with a smidgen of power.

I couldn't imagine the stress of moderating even larger network

  • I mean if you're someone new and then inundated with terrible news every day because you're still getting the hang of moderating your feed by yourself, you're bound to carry negative attitude everywhere else.

reddit can, have been, and will continue to be angry right leaning, and here it's the opposite. I get it, there are matters worth being angry about. but surrounding yourself with it just makes it pointless

  • Guess I just ask here.

On scaled sorting for my subscribed comms, it's different on the app vs in the web browser. Dunno if this is a bug or intended.

On the app it's showing 2 months old posts. Which I kind of understand from reading the scaled sorting.

  • Very curious about piefed - looking forward to a mobile app in the near future hopefully!

I really like it on desktop. On default front end, it clicked the easiest. Though for lemmy I still prefer Tesseract, but all the other inherent features that's not on lemmy, especially comments consolidation for same link, just trounces lemmy for me.

The android app Interstellar is testing piefed support, although currently only allows preferred.social instance IIRC. I registered on the flagship piefed.social instance, and I'm a bit too lived in on it to change instance. Maybe it's better to see if I can migrate my account.

  • Thankfully for me, suicide are far down my list. I hope. Going to a professional to get my headspace sorted is definitely worth it. It would be no. 1, 3 years ago.

I'd rate heart attack as most likely, and other blood circulation related disease. Any obesity related affliction too. Cancer is in there somewhere high since I have family members with some kind of cancer.

  • I assume it got worse because lenovo bought the smartphone division of Motorola years ago. Back then, yeah they were the bomb. I still look back fondly of my Moto Z Play. Its astounding what they did with it. Such "paltry" specs but it ran like a champ. Bloat from future android versions and moto getting acquired by lenovo put it down sadly.

  • O don't use an e-reader, but I remember the stress their migration process gave me. That's when I found omnivore. Unfortunately for me that was 3 months before they have to shut down lol. Now I'm back at Instapaper. Shouldn't have left it for pocket way back then.

  • Yeah, already have their facebook container. But I believe they already have the function to allow a container to only open the sites I assign it to. So like their Facebook container, any links I click not of the sites it'll just open in no container.

The cross site tracking is the lower of my concerns practically. It's signing in to my multiple Google accounts without having to change accounts is my main goal.
