  • Technically speaking, speed limits are set for worst conditions.

As in very rainy, very windy, poor visibility, etc.

So no, in your day to day life in ideal conditions — you do not need to follow the speed limit. Am I saying go double the speed limit? No. 10 miles above the speed limit is fine, though.

That being said, people who tailgate others can go fuck themselves. There's never a good reason to be so close behind another car.

  • Is it not the message that Israel has been trying to send? "Support us killing the brown people around us or you're antisemitic."

Idk, I've seen so much bullshit over the past 5 months that nothing makes sense anymore. I half expected her to react as if the children were Hamas and therefore deserved it.

  • Cursing online ≠ going somewhere and yelling obscenities at strangers. You're an idiot if you think it's salient, but hey — I'm not the one agreeing to throating my corporate overlords so maybe it's just something I won't ever understand.

  • Uh, I disagree — I think getting on your knees and opening your mouth to swallow whatever rules your corporate overlords have decided you should follow is pretty fucking offensive. Personally.

  • I respect that, I just try to provide context. It's often misinterpreted, and I do succumb to emotional responses — but my goal is to make sure those that are justified approach their goals with a clear mind.

I'm not advocating for the rich. I just want people to make the right decisions when it inevitably comes to the point where we need to decide what to do with the rich. I don't think we should treat GabeN with any more respect than we owe the poorest person, is all.

  • First step to getting away with shithead behavior is convincing a group, any group (but preferrably one marginalized), that you're representing them.

Idk, there are tons of good things that have happened from rich people doing stuff. Hell, that's the reason medicine progressed — if nobles weren't terrified of dying, who knows how long it would have taken to figure out that bloodletting with leeches doesn't work?

I don't think I need to point out all the bad things that have happened because of the rich.

  • So then why don't they have regular bulletins in their games showing 'Look, look! These features will be coming by xx/xx/xxxx!' ?

Things set the timeline back? 'Oh no! Looks like we won't be releasing this on that date, it will actually be this date!'

Seems like a non issue for anyone with a 6th graders capacity for interacting with other humans. These are IT folks, with the added layer of gamers to boot — though. Anticipating motivations and responding to others input isn't exactly a strong suit.

Edit: oh, beyond that — I have very little sympathy for a developer of a content drip. You're out for the money, don't whine when people inevitably get sick of waiting for a little more of something they've already gotten maximum enjoyment out of.

  • What I mean is that, with any individual — you start with what you can control. Whatever that sphere of influence might be, your immediate surroundings make up a large part of what you're actually capable of influencing.

You can't fight a fire from 3000 miles away. I get that we're not all capable of running into a burning building, but you're severely overestimating (and underestimating, oddly enough — but in different directions) an individual's ability to affect real change.

  • Idk, that's certainly an optimistic view of a very bad thing happening.

It isn't going to be just MAGA suffering, and if everyone with a brain leaves — there's no telling what kind of system will fill the void. I think it's unrealistic to assume these people will course correct on their own simply because bad things have happened to them.

  • Think about it though, he didn't pay them. He can easily spin a story about how he was 'caught up in the moment' and made an offer without thinking, that he was later advised would be illegal.

Idk, I feel like I've seen crazier legal turnarounds in my lifetime. Imagine he references the purchase of Twitter as a pattern of behavior making offers that he isn't actually prepared to fulfill?
