  • The majority if the reason it's significant is that Nintendo MADE it significant, by releasing that "official" timeline tying all the gamrs together. Then, the made BotW with a whole bunch of direct and indirect references to this timeline, and events in previous games. Then TotK threw pretty much all of that in the garbage.

  • No way it beats AC6 for me, but I wish it could have gotten something, it's a really remarkable first-entry into the field.

They had a "best first game by a new studio" or something category last year, didn't they? Isn't that what Stray won?

  • Did anyone really think that making UEFI systems the equivalent of a mini OS was a good idea? Or having them be accessible to the proper OS? Was there really no pushback, when UEFI was being standardized, to say "images that an OS can write to are not critical to initializing hardware functionality, don't include that"? Was that question not asked for every single piece of functionality in the standard?

  • For my part, I agree. I don't celebrate death. I sure as hell ain't gonna mourn evil people, or pretend the world isn't objectively better off without them. I'm also not gonna lose any sleep over other people doing it. I'll happily celebrate any good things resulting from their death. But death itself isn't to be celebrated, not for me.

  • Gotta love when an articpe describes something in the title, and then doesn't actually put the details of that thing in the article. The only mention of the bible in the article is "After quoting from the bible, the Democratic lawmaker said..."

Anyone know what the actual quote was?
