  • I've been browsing valetudo, I was a bit surprised that almost all installations are rated to some degree "easy", even though many devices require things that are not at all accessible such as assembling and soldering your circuit board; I don't want to know what a device rated as difficult would be like.

  • Having to hack even bulbs to avoid being spied on is a new level in dystopia.

  • I find it hard to rate it positively, I see additional work and problems to solve things that have never been a problem for me. The last points are especially worthless with distrobox.

  • I don't even remember them anymore, I haven't heard from them since the endless news of their fast rise. How are they doing?

  • This will be somewhat long and tedious, I will try to explain it from memory because I don't want to dedicate the absurd amount of hours it requires. Maybe I'm missing or I'm wrong about something, if that's the case please just talk about it.

That video has been extensively analyzed by expert witnesses and they make it clear that this "head grab" was not forced. It should also be noted that a few seconds before that she hugged/grabbed him against him and practically lifted him in the air, so she was not exactly defenseless. Nor did it catch her by surprise, because he verbally and unequivocally asked for consent (there is no evidence of what she answers, but it is obvious that if it were "no" she would not act as she will later), which not only the expert witnesses made clear, but she herself has acknowledged. Moreover, this is an (absurd) tradition, there is nothing to suggest that it was sexual in any way.

The event had a specialized team to detect cases of "gender violence", one of their members was nearby and immediately asked her, and she declared that everything was fine. Later they did a full investigation, they also asked her and the others again, and again everything was fine.

Then in the locker rooms you mention and other places, there are some moments when she talks about what happened, she mentions that she "didn't like it" but it can be understood that she doesn't like him in a romantic/sexual way, because she always does it with a clear joking tone. That becomes much clearer later because she herself also shows that video to her friends and laughing about it. There is even a scene in a bus where all the players cheer for rubiales, evidencing the closeness he had with the team and the "victim" (hence her surprise hug/grabbing him before the kiss, and the kiss itself).

At this point everything is fine, until the "minister of equality" (equality in orwell scale) pointed it out as "gender violence" and from here everything becomes quite chaotic, so following the story is a headache. Let's sum it up in that the "victim" started out mildly supportive of rubiales, then spent quite some time refusing to speak out or get involved, and finally was moving to condemn the acts; with some contradictions and lies being disproven, in my opinion she seems to want to attack the organization more than rubiales.

    PS: Still too long, sorry.

  • Ha... accusing me of being a troll defender for criticizing a fallacy, which in itself is another fallacy.
I don't encounter trolls on a daily basis, but for me a troll is not someone with a different opinion.

  • If you're just going to use a quick ad-hominem, you might as well have said nothing.

  • And it continues this absurd big scandal over a non-sexual act where explicit consent was asked for and was not a problem for anyone, until feminism insisted on turning it into their new cause. It's been in the media spotlight for months while the real dramas go unnoticed, it's a shame.

  • They have a eula that prohibits redistribution of software that is licensed under the GPL, so they violate it. The excuse is that you can get those packages from other sources, but that doesn't change the above.

  • Stopping support to competitors is reasonable (quite rude to give short notice), on the other hand, violating the GLP license is unacceptable. Red had has definitely lost my trust.

  • It's a bit of the same old story.

Israeli settlers: Dangerous terrorists attacking law enforcement, must be repressed without reservation.

Rest of the world: Kids throwing pebbles at an armored vehicle because they hate those who killed or screwed over many of their acquaintances, without even a scratch or hindering their work.

  • The ability of kbin to add notes to users is quite useful. I realize how often the biggest inhuman barbarities are always said by the same scum.

  • Stopping any support for isrel and pushing for others to do so as well would help. Or at least send humanitarian aid to gaza.

  • By "soldiers" do they also mean "forcibly conscripted men"?

  • I guess by "the country" they also mean gaza and therefore continue to try to prevent their war crimes from being exposed, right?

  • Oh, you're right, I guess it's a new standalone version and that's why it reappeared for me.
I just searched and reactivated the options in about:config for the old version, nothing reappears (neither does the drop down menu) as long as I don't take firefox view out again from the customization menu.

  • Again a button I don't want in the tab bar, but I'm glad that this time it can be removed with two clicks, without digging into about:config.
