  • In the first sentence reiterated insults, in the second just saying it's a scam, and in the third repeating that it's a scam and (absurdly) denying there's a use case.

I'm not even going to read anymore, I'm interested in the arguments against crypto, but not to see some asshole ranting bullshit.

  • Not that this is really new, ukraine forces ukrainian men to fight and russia forces russian men; their will was never relevant, just different excuses for what is essentially slavery.

  • It's not even good propaganda, it should be obvious to any functional human that criminals hiding behind pediatric hospitals is not a good excuse to bomb pediatric hospitals.

  • If you see messages supporting the palestinians and you read support for hamas, that's your delusion and your problem.

  • The european union is not only about interests but also about principles and values, and ukraine does not adhere to them at all; moreover, due to the current situation it is not only not in a position to embrace them, but in fact it is moving away from them. The eu is not nato, that so many people are willing to speed it up and even skip steps is not good news.

  • Specifically to this one. The award itself does not deserve its prestige, it has been given to too many criminals and militarists.

  • They successfully applied the gnome design guidelines.

  • Very few actually do, as evidenced by the fact that almost none of them draft women for any role or duty, except for less than a dozen (only sweden and norway on equal terms).

  • There is a war of misinformation and propaganda (on both sides), the " I've heard" are especially worthless.

  • I guess, but arguing that they only have the (false) dichotomy of committing genocide or disappearing is pretty close to it.

  • I have never seen anyone supporting hamas, at most justifying the legitimacy of some of its objectives and the right to fight for them, but not its actions; always being critical of hamas and its war crimes.

In fact, high tolerance or even open support for war crimes is something I have only seen on the zionist side.

  • You have already read the whole argumentation of the antitor+vpn fanatics (yep, they exist): The tor devs don't recommend it.
What they will never tell you is that the devs say it as general advice for those who don't know what they are doing.

The (real) points against it can be summed up in two, that certain unusual configurations (that you would never apply accidentally or as a newbie) are insecure, and that vpn providers might not be reliable.

  • How hard do you have to search to find these x11 fanboys? Because whenever this topic comes up, the only detractors I see are users who complain because they can't use wayland for various reasons.

On the other hand those on the other extreme are easier to find, as they always celebrate x11 users (willingly or not) getting screwed; so toxic.

  • Even before the annexation, crimea was mostly pro-russian. If anything there should be another referendum, but this time with guarantees.

Edit: I know the right to self-determination is controversial, you may not like what others decide for themselves, that's your business; but please don't bother if you just want to talk nonsense, misrepresent or putting words in my mouth. Thanks.

  • That's very easy to catch. You stand out much, much more as a spoofing firefox user than as a firefox user.

  • You can, but if you merely assert it would be as sterile as your comment, nothing factual, which is the question I politely asked about.

  • The text talks about the 8 years of fear felt by a gay man, hopeful activists, government opposition to the lgbt movement, etc, but nothing about acts. Can anyone expand a bit on new laws or attempts to take away rights?
