When people get sick with a respiratory virus, the updated guidance recommends that they stay home and away from others. For people with COVID-19 and influenza, treatment is available and can lessen symptoms and lower the risk of severe illness. The recommendations suggest returning to normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, symptoms are improving overall, and if a fever was present, it has been gone without use of a fever-reducing medication.
So yes, the guidance is that you isolate until you are fever free and other symptoms are at least improving. The major change is that they don't recommend a fixed length of isolation anymore.
I mean, for some people, it is. When you're exploring your identity, you don't always get it right on your first try. Just like there are people who are convinced they're straight that are actually gay (or bi, or pan, or what have you). Though that is far more common, largely because of the societal pressures to conform to heteronormativity.
But then, perhaps that truly is Vance's case here. Maybe he actually is gay, and his whole... everything is just him trying desperately to convince himself otherwise.
Most phones actually require pin/password on boot, and only let you use fingerprint/face unlock to unlock later in the session, as a security feature. So if he turned his phone off, even that wouldn't work.
I think you misunderstand. This is a business that uses the "fulfilled by Amazon" program, which means they never even saw the return. Amazon received the return, processed it, deemed it worthy of resale as a new item, and shipped it back out without them being involved at all. But they're the ones that ended up with the black eye from it.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday that Musk said he is planning to contribute around $45 million a month to a new pro-Trump super PAC, dubbed America PAC. In donating to the PAC, he will join the Winklevoss twins, Joe Lonsdale, co-founder of the spy tech firm Palantir Technologies; and former U.S. Ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft along her husband Joe Craft, the CEO of Alliance Resource Partners, a coal producer.
A veritable who's who of America's douchiest rich assholes.
And just because he was registered as Republican, doesn't mean he was necessarily a Trump supporter. After all, those Lincoln Project guys had to come from somewhere.
The sad thing is, according to the article, this was originally an anti-Klan law. And now it's being used to selectively and falsely prosecute black kids.
Yes, Clinton won the popular vote, but she certainly didn't win the election. And that was largely because of the systemic bias, which favors the more racist, sexist elements of this country.
And Obama had to be the perfect candidate to win. A family man, no skeletons in his closet whatsoever, with a charisma the political world hasn't seen since JFK. And his election brought those awful elements of our society to the fore, and touched off a fascist revolution that is still going on today, which the leader of won the presidency on the back of and is in danger of winning it again.
This country does have a lot of racism and sexism. More than most would like to admit, including you, it seems. And Kamala Harris isn't a strong enough candidate to overcome that, especially when you combine it with the other factors of having to unite a fractured party, coming into the race late, and being chosen at the convention rather than through the primary process.
The company I work for has a production and shipping facility down near Houston that has been closed down since Monday due to the lack of power. It's insane.
The armorer was apparently target shooting with the gun some time before the scene was being filmed, and left a round chambered. That's my understanding anyway.
Why the fuck the arms master was using prop guns for target shooting is something I'll never understand.
We kinda do need these articles. These people push a narrative that they're just "concerned about the children" and trying to save them from "groomers" (ie anyone who allows them the freedom and agency to figure themselves out and express themselves). Articles like this poke holes in the image they project, and show them for the monsters they really are.
Yes, you already know they're monsters. So do I. But clearly, not everyone has gotten the message yet, and if we ignore their monstrous acts and words, those people will be left to listen to the narrative they do get.
Technically, she wasn't old enough to run until this year.
More practically, we have a center-right party and a fascist party in this country. The center-right party has a few actual leftists in it, but they tend not to gain much power.
I always thought it was hilarious how they'd complain that Democrats (especially coastal Democrats) are all "ivory tower elites", and then mock her for working as a bartender and imply that made her unfit for office.
Unfortunately, far too many of the 99% see themselves as temporarily embarrassed 1%.
