  • Oh, I remember, he also suggested somehow getting powerful light inside the body. The Covid briefings should have left no doubt amongst the populace that Trump is a blathering idiot that gives no thought to what comes out of his mouth or the potential consequences. That was mostly fine until he became the leader of the free world. That republicans are satisfied with him representing them is damming. Believe it or not, there are smart, articulate people with conservative politics. Trump is not among them.

  • As gets posted everytime this comes up, the IBEW was in favor of signing the original contract proposed by the railroads. Their Biden back patting is disingenuous. Whatever he did after breaking the strike doesn't absolve him of being a strike breaker all while calling himself the most pro union president ever.

  • I specifically choose spores because California treats them differently than most of the rest of the country and there is nothing illegal about them until and unless they are grown out. I was pointing out the apparent lack of congruence between the stand Newsom is taking here and how California state law treats a similar situation differently when the roles are reversed.

  • This dude is a Crip in du-rag only. He won't take a single true blue dem vote. I'm not sure he appeals to the independent who voted Biden either. I don't imagine very many were thinking "Well if Trump was a little less awful he'd have my vote." but that may remain to be seen. Trump was the best thing that ever happened to the Democrats as far as wooing independents and bringing them out to vote.

  • I'm not sure what you're taking issue with. UPS has twice as many union members as the big three combined. The Teamsters as a whole represent 3 times as many members as the UAW does in total. Perhaps the UAW has a larger war chest, I'm sure the NEA spends more lobbying, but no union in the country has a bigger hammer than the Teamsters. Longshoremen are probably close and rail workers would if they were allowed to strike. Also to say nothing similar exists in Amazon's industry is to ignore the core of Teamsters membership, transportation and warehousing. I'm not trying to be combative, I hope the UAW gets to piss in Elon's Cheerios on the daily.
