How will I ever sleep at night knowing I've offended your sensibilities so? I noticed you didn't bother helping me shed the scales from my eyes. So help me out, when am I supposed to vote selfishly and when am I supposed to vote socially, I'm confused. Judging by the down votes, I think I've been doing it wrong most of my voting career. Hate the take, but tell me how their words don't mean their support was purchased by government largess. The things you hate about Republicans you should be equally disappointed in Democrats for doing. That being said, I've no problem with the administration's facilitating relief borrowers qualified for under the terms they agreed to (like PSLF, total disability and 20 year repayment). Eating one party's pork while decrying the other's tainted just furthers the "both sides" fallacy.

Don't take this as an endorsement, Trump was likely the worst president this country has ever seen, truly a national embarrassment, but he (really they) lowered individual taxes for most wage earners also (temporarily). You can't really rail on republican stupidity, immorality, selfishness etc. if we're all just going to vote as currency in trade. Funny how Randian people become when their selfish want is being fufilled.

I know this is the DIY sub, but I would get a few estimates to have the floors redone wholesale. Trying to piecemeal it will almost certainly look worse than leaving it alone. You can rent a floor sander and DIY, but they're tricky to run with no experience so you're likely to leave the floor wavy. It's also fairly expensive. Pros will be in and out in three days. If the stains are more than superficial, the options are going to be staining the floors darker yet or removal and replacement of the affected boards. Both of those will require refinishing and the latter is for sure a job for someone with experience. I agree with vodulas, that looks like water or pet damage that has already had an attempt at fixing it. Good luck, those are really pretty floors otherwise.
