I've found a pretty effective argument when dealing with right wingers at this point. I simply say that only one side is banning books and it's theirs, and I stick only to that. It's indefensible. They can try to twist it, say it's just protecting kids, and I will continue to say "Only the republicans are banning books". It's the end of discussion. Its shoving in their face that there is a clear line in the sand that republicans have crossed, and there is nothing they can say that would change that.
Which besides your paycheck is... what exactly? Or are these hypothetical streams of income once you get out of the "temporarily embarrassed millionaire" hole you're in.
It was better at the beginning before they started requiring names and pfp to be covered in posts. Even if it was a celebrity. All the posts were from public social media pages. If someone is enough of a dumbass to broadcast their dangerous stupidity to the world, they they don't deserve anonymity.
You ever read a 1-star review on Amazon from someone who was clearly too stupid to know how to use the product? Like someone complaining that a USB-C charger doesn't work because it doesn't plug into their iphone?
Let me get this straight; you actually think Elon Musk, himself, combed through images he personally saved, found the X, and personally submitted it as the logo replacement.
Elon Musk. The crazy douche billionaire. You really think he sat at his computer and spent time doing that.
You don't think, maybe, just maybe, a man with more money than God might have gotten someone else to do it? I can see him being out of touch and not caring enough about quality to say "go with that one" without checking where it came from. But I just can't see Musk himself looking through fonts to find an "X" that he likes.
Isn't "You" always singular? The words it's accompanied by make the overall statement plural. Like "you guys" or "you all". My brain might be slow this morning, but I can't think of any instance where it's plural without an accompanying word.
You're the one claiming it's a strawman; ignoring the fact that's not using the fallacy correctly, the burden of proof lies with you. And, no, "their profile pic contains colorful flags that make me uncomfortable" doesn't count as proof.
If it was always going to happen, now isn't really a bad time. Sure, a month ago would have been better, but people still haven't been here that long. If I wind up needing to migrate, and lose my current account, oh well. No big loss. I imagine others feel similar.
Am pooping. Would recommend.
