  • I don't think it's fake. There are a lot of small details that I don't think AI would get right. All the equipment is 100% correct. Hood, anklets, leash, jesses, swivels, and glove look good. She is holding her right arm up with her left because eagles are heckin heavy. She's obviously not going out hunting but I don't think it's fake.

In fact, I have a photo along the same vein:

Ps, if any falconers are lurking in lenmyland join me at falconry.party

  • I just looked it up, 86% audience score which is surprising to me because that movie is such a mess. I will stand with my 42% audience and say the last jedi was the best of that trilogy. At least it had a coherent plot and tried to make a new story.

But yes, Rogue One has a very good case for best Starwars movie out of them all.

  • I have a 1320n. When I bought toner about 5 years ago and it was $20 for third party, works fine. Every few months I flip it on, print a few pages (sometimes from my phone), and flip it off again. Ezpz.

  • The only real story continuation is characters. And there is about 0 character growth in the games so it doesn't really matter. The story for all of them is, "land and or crash on weird earth, look pikmin, let's use pikmin to carry stuff to the ship. Yay, we can leave now." Play the demo and see if you need any more context.

  • The gaming laptops that I am familiar with don't fit the traditional laptop role. Their battery life sucks and they are heavy due to the powerful hardware which really hinders their portability. They are more for people who need a portable desktop. I would almost never recommend a gaming laptop but they do fit specific needs.

  • Some of the ones I saw had new replies. Lemmy has absolutely exploded recently and I'm guessing people are scrolling through all the posts of a community and replying to some of the first posts and then that post gets bumped and more reply. There was one asklemmy post that was 3 years old with hundreds of new comments I saw.

  • Similar situation. I volunteered at a wildlife rehab and we got a pelican in. Someone left a wheelbarrow full of fish covered up out in the sun for a few days. I had to clean it out. I did not have a good time.

  • You're 17 and your peers are doing that shit? I thought you were 17 years out of highschool, in your 30s. If you are still in high school and want to do something join some kind of competitive club or something. Explore different hobbies or experiences. To expect a 17 year old to have achieved those things you listed is absurd. It's great that you are thinking of your future now but don't stress out so much about it.

  • I made a Ubuntu VM and followed the instructions on https://github.com/ubergeek77/Lemmy-Easy-Deploy, and it looks like it worked but I'm having issues getting a secure connection. I should have the correct ports open on the server and firewall so I'm not sure, I'm kind of a potato.
