  • The answer is, I do not know.

People like Elon's family didn't get rich in an emerald mine without Tesla's business ethics. After all, who do you think Elon learned it from?

And was Elon's family the only one? Are we sure of that? Corruption like that doesn't happen in a vacuum and not without support.

  • There are days I wait for it, but I imagine one of these days the top is going to pop on South Africa and we are going to not like the skeletons we find there.

  • I am not sure what they are crying about now. We knew paces in automation and AI were going to render jobs obsolete.

They are only worried about that NOW that they realize the people were the ones buying the products?

  • So, go and ask Taiwan for unification. Strike a deal, give them rights, allow them to pay taxes.

The problem with Xi, is not his vision, but in his methods.

He has harassed Taiwan for more than decades. Throwing missiles over it's landmasses. Using maps claiming taiwan is in China's territory. Blockades, embargos, and threats of annihilation.

And it isn't like Xi couldn't turn this around, but every day he chooses to escalate tensions in the region rather then reaching for peaceful solution. It is clear his motives are not reunification. At least for the Taiwan people.

  • I think there is a problem that a sitting senator can use his position of power to call fights on people he doesn't like.

But I don't think he understands the consequences if he loses. Or that there isn't a situation where he really wins outside his ego.

Scenario 1: He loses the fight, people realize that violence solves deadlocked problems. Union Support emboldens.

Scenario 2: He wins the fight, everyone around him including the audience sees an MMA fighter beating the shit out of a union leader in 4k resolution. Union support with GOP would die in an instant. People realize that discussions don't solve problems. ------ civil unrest.

  • Democratic support will be crucial, because a number of conservative Republicans are already vowing to oppose the measure to protest the absence of sharp spending cuts — a number large enough to sink the bill without help from across the aisle.

    Some of the proposals include:

    • Making discrimination based on abortion care from a company legal
    • Removal of funds from the IRS, which help reduce the deficit.
    • Removal of FBI funds
    • Medicare spending cuts
    • Funding for Israel

Things that are not included on that list:

    • Reducing gas prices
    • Reducing food prices
    • Reducing housing prices
    • Reducing student debt
    • Global warming protections

Just in case anyone was wondering if the Republican party is trying to help the American people.

  • It does feel a little bit on the cuff of another big reveal doesn't it?

  • Justices file the same annual financial disclosure reports as other federal judges.

Can someone tell Justice Clarence Thomas, because he missed that memo. By like a lot. Like an RV size worth, maybe even a property size estate worth.

The Court will also consider whether amendments to its rules on the disclosure obligations of parties and counsel may be advisable.

The Court will assess whether it needs additional resources in its Clerk’s Office or Office of Legal Counsel to perform initial and ongoing review of recusal and other ethics issues.

That's two maybes for what sounds a lot like "no."

  • I haven't preordered a game since fallout 76.

I have yet run across a pre-order where I have regretted it either.

Most of the time, you wait 3 months or a year for PlayStation,

    • all the bugs are fixed,
    • game play has been thoroughly tested by $90 beta tester whales who pay for the privilege.
    • It's on sale
    • Wait long enough, even with the DLC
    • If it is a good enough game, it will survive the test of time (Elden Ring), and if it doesn't you didn't miss anything important.
  • That is some seriously bad situational awareness combined with some terribly bad luck for those thieves.

One of the agents opened fire, but no one was struck by the gunfire, the Secret Service said in a statement. The three people were seen fleeing in a red car

Then there is the fortune that they were allowed to flee the scene.... unharmed....

  • You're getting your news from a republican senator's news page....?

Oh my god, how dumb is that.

UNRWA has a stringent staff conduct framework in place to ensure that staff members do not affiliate
themselves, and by extension, UNRWA, with any other groups. All UNRWA staff, Palestine refugees, and
contractors, vendors, and non-state donors are screened against the Consolidated United Nations Security
    Council Sanctions List.

UNRWA does not, and will not, divert any humanitarian aid into the wrong hands. Donor support goes
directly to those in need. The Blackburn letter’s authors are seemingly unaware of the requirements of U.S.
law, or any of the provisions of the US-UNRWA Framework for Cooperation. UNRWA is required to take
all possible measures to ensure funding provided by the United States does not provide assistance to, or
otherwise support, terrorists or terrorist organizations.

This includes reporting requirements on any aid diversions

Last night, one of our fallen UNRWA colleagues included Mai, a person who overcame physical disabilities to
become a front-end developer at the UNRWA Information Technology Service Center. Since the horrific
events of 7-October, UNRWA has already lost Mai and 71 other members of its staff to the conflict. Despite
this, thousands of UNRWA staff, many of whom are now displaced themselves, are still on the job assisting
the 690,000 Gazans sheltering at our 149 facilities, as well as working at our healthcare centres.

But yea, tell me again why this makes it okay to kill children again?

  • Coming from a guy who had to stomach literally Nazi's waving red flags protesting to kill everyone who isn't their color.

While I would certainly disagree with anyone who agrees with Hamas' use of tactics.

I find silencing them to be completely undemocratic. Obviously there are exceptions, but I think the general public has got a handle on this.

And it is healthy to talk about these kinds of things. Especially as a society, sometimes it is good to rehash these arguments to throw away what is outdated, and bring in new perspectives.

But just note: once the boomer generation is gone, these people who support Israel. And all those rules that have been shifted off to others are going to come back home to roost.

Are you sure that is what you want? Because I can be patient.

  • It included a policy rider that would have nullified a Washington, D.C., law aimed at preventing employer discrimination on the basis of reproductive health care decisions.

Wow.... Just so you know, these guys are so enamored with the idea of taking away more of your rights, it is the make or break point for some of these spending bills.

Some conservatives, meanwhile, opposed the bill because it did not include language to bar funding for a new FBI headquarters.

Why??? They are the ones who screamed not to de-fund the police right?

saying it still “needs to cut spending,” even as it proposes pulling back and repurposing billions of dollars in IRS funding approved by Democrats in the last Congress.

Every dollar we spend on the IRS is reducing the deficit, this is moronic. This will add spending, not take it away.

  • the Speaker of the House is weighing whether he can get away with a stopgap spending solution.

Another one? Why have spending debates every year when we can have them every 45 days instead!

If I have to ride this roller-coaster one more time, I think I am going to hurl.

  • hypocrisy over US response to 9/11

    Then let them.

We learned our lesson from Iraq and Afghanistan.

It is a shame that most other people didn't learn the lesson 10 trillion dollars later and after all our hard work evaporated in less then 3 days.

  • It's not so much a matter of if he is guilty or not by this point, but how much guilt is he responsible for.

I think the broader public and Trump might miss the nuisance. But it means the difference of carving up parts of an empire to all of the Trump empire.

Trump can easily pay a fine, but I don't think he is going to recover from losing the Trump Brand.

Which is why I am so flabbergasted by why Trump and his lawyers are being hostile on the witness stand.

  • I think humans lie to themselves the most. We can convince ourselves to believe the prettiest of lies even if the reality is vile.

I think Hitler convinced himself he was right for what he did, but I do believe he knew what he was doing was evil.

    That's Just my speculation.

  • Ouch, that is some of Russia's top brass, what the hell is she doing in the middle of all that?

I just went from.... maybe.... to nope in one picture.

  • Hey boss, sorry going to get you that funding, just have to take 6 months off work first and we will revisit this.

Hey boss, still know you want that money, so we need a bit more time, we are going to kick out the speaker then do cocaine until we elect a new one. Thanks bye!

Hey boss, I just sexually assaulted Roe V. Wade, looks like you got a real problem that you are going to have to take care of. Sorry and wish you the best! lt;3

Hey boss, good news is we elected a speaker, but we don't like him, so we are going to need 45 days to do the whole "money thing" again. I know you wish you could fire me, but get used to it bitch.

Hey boss, looks like we are coming on that deadline....
