  • Ellis delivered a tearful statement to the judge Tuesday while pleading guilty, disavowing her participation in former President Donald Trump’s unprecedented attempts to overturn the 2020 election.

“If I knew then what I knew now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-challenges. I look back on this experience with deep remorse,” Ellis said, her voice breaking at times.

She also said, “I failed to do my due diligence.”

Hey, Jack's gonna get you too, another one flips on Trump. 🎶

  • They do, but only in the last hour, when people start preparing the consequences to their actions:

    • When people start shorting the USA stock market
    • When CEOs start hiding their USD overseas
    • When rich folk start pulling their money out of the stock market.
    • When rich folk start investing in foreign capital.

Whether or not Republicans can admit it, something has changed in the dynamics of this argument. Where originally shutting down the government was an option. Now, it is the last thing they want to do. Which means American citizens just have to keep up the pressure on politicians. And this turkey will cook itself.

  • If you were in the US and OPEC decided it was no longer selling gas to the USA. And China was like, you deserve it because those White Power Nazis are trying to overthrow the government.

And the punishment for this was killing 5% of all USA babies.

Not only would you lose your minds. You'd think there was no justice in the world.

  • I think one of the scariest things about Warhammer 40k, is we have the mindset, just not the technology.

  • In a desperate bid to replenish its manpower, Moscow is sending injured (Sometimes amputated) soldiers back into battle.

Ouch. Everyone but Putin felt that one.

The latest figures posted by the Ministry of Defence do not include the Wagner Group nor their prisoner battalions that fought in Bakhmut.

Hundreds of thousands of mercenaries and prisoners died in that meat grind. If they did include them, they'd have to put the casualty number much higher.

Oh, and they are now kidnapping civilian immigrant workers, in an effort to bolster their numbers. They will not count either.

  • Somewhere along the line, conservationism became synonymous with stagnation.

I am not sure if it was the tea party movement or what. But there was this idea that America was perfect and never had to change,

Then it became the Anti-Democrat party. Where they didn't care about the details, they just didn't want to work with them.

Eventually, they took the long way around the logical train, and ended at tyranny. Ask any conservative if they think they are a Nazi, and they would proudly claim no. Ask them if it is okay to put kids in separate cages on the Mexico boarder, suddenly it's not even a question, it's our duty.

What we are seeing in congress right now, are the cracks showing on that system. I know most people wouldn't know why I would be excited for that. But it means the old system of thought is breaking. It is tearing, and grinding against itself, which can only mean that change is coming, whether people want it or not.

  • The device: A simple two-paragraph pledge, spearheaded by Rep. Mike Flood (R-Neb.), to vote “yea” on the floor for whoever wins the House Republican conference’s backing in the initial secret-ballot election scheduled for Tuesday. To pick up more commitments, Flood is organizing a bloc of Republicans to withhold support from candidates unless they press their backers to sign the pledge.

Awwww, he's so cute, look at lil' Mike Flood playing politics.

Yea, no this won't work in the slightest. But it is cute. Like a 6 year old drawing. Or a child still believing in Santa.

  • Ukraine's funding disappeared as one of the concessions for the 45 day funding bill while republicans pick a new speaker.

I think Zelensky is trying to play this smart because it ties something he needs (military funding) to something republicans need to support (Israel)

Whether or not he agrees with it doesn't matter, because as a leader this is the best move for him to get funding back.

  • Strike 3, yer' out Jimmy.

    Who's next to swing air?

  • I do think that crypto does have a place in the future, but not as a security, which is the current mindset behind most crypto.

Where others deposit large amounts of wealth into a pile... and that money is supposed to grow infinitely....

That's not how you use a currency like the USD or British pound are used. Money is a tool for us to understand the value of our items that we exchange or our labor that we create.

It has to circulate like a blood flow through an economy. And crypto is treating it more like a blood clot.

  • There was no way that coin was going to sustain itself like Spez claimed it would.

People weren't going to buy crypto coins, just to give content creators medals. And the idea that medals would give more power to these people, except not really and only in polls.

This was such a jigsaw puzzle of shit, before you realized that each community was supposed to make their own coin that could only be used in that community.

At that point, it is a coin trying to be as complex as possible, without really doing anything that you paid money for.

  • Netflix should buy out the comedy rights for that special. Then people would actually want to pay extra for Netflix.

  • The data.... it's so.... organized.... it's art.

  • I don't think people in Israel view it as a good or bad way, just by the results.

If someone tries to sell you on less freedom, less privacy, more surveillance, and you still get attacked, then people start to wonder what was the point. Regardless of the measures taken.

  • What happens when people in politics who only know how to deposit donors money into their checking accounts, try "negotiating" from a position of non-leverage?

    This.

  • They are probably hitting people in waves, in an effort to make sure this isn't a surge, then a massive protest like the Unity situation.

But once google realizes they'll have to burn serious money and make their product worse on the global stage to fix the problem, they'll quit just like Microsoft, AOL, and Netscape.

But I think this campaign is just there to loosen the people who installed an ad-block, but have no idea what an ad-block is.

Which will be different from the people who know about "alternate methods," and will easily slip the google net unnoticed.

  • Sir, I just need you to confirm you date of birth is indeed: Jan 01 1999

But have no fear. It's not the rule people should worry about, its the punishment!

Clause 66, section 6: All ages 16 of less will be sentenced to 15 days in the meme mines. And possibly made mandatory mod of Boomer Memes for an hour. May the odds be ever in your favor.

  • I like what I see. Everything looks like a set of conditions I can support. I am not sure about the gore part, but I can understand why people wouldn't want that can of worms.

4.1: No one under 16 years of age is allowed to use or access the website.

Someone's going to need a stretcher for the roblox mods.

  • How does one "Temporarily" vote on something? Outside of elections of course?

Can I temporarily vote for \ next election, and if I don't like his policies take back my vote?

If the answer is no.... then... well. It sounds a lot like Jim is dropping out.

  • They had given the hospital 2 hours to evacuate, naturally people thought they were going to bomb the hospital and freaked out and started calling for humanitarian ceasefire.

Unfortunately, the Islamic Jihad had "misfired" a dumb rocket and it landed in the parking lot a bit early.

Combined with the panic, a probable evacuation, and the official sources of Israel being like "They deserved it.' People, myself included, had thought Israel had done exactly what they said they were going to do.

Once the fog of war cleared, we understood a few things that were considered lies. The hospital was still standing, there was no hospital crater where an airstrike would have been. And the crater for the shell was only a foot in diameter.
