  • Blender has a video editor?! Geez, used it back in the day for 3D rendering, but didn’t even cross my mind for videos.

it is surprisingly good, when i first found out about it i was kinda blown away with how competitive it is with stuff like Kdenlive and the ancient version of sony vegas i used to use

  • Stomping your feet and declaring that slow fascism isn’t good enough doesn’t change the options.

imagine posting this with a straight face
    grow the fuck up

  • when a particular distro is recommended, almost every time it just means "this is what we have actually tested it on" so as long as your distro has the correct packages/versions available there is a very good chance it will work even when not recommended

  • You’ll probably need to run the software in bottles

nope, unreal engine 5 has a native linux version

  • you're right, the scary asians might build schools, hospitals, railroads, ports, and power stations
    that would suck

  • probably, if it wasn't from .world i would assume so, but i've seen too many of them say complete brainwormed shit to give them the benefit of the doubt

  • it's literally video editing software, the fuck are you smoking

  • having tried many distros over the years, Arch (and most derivatives) is best for me
pacman is the best i've used, packages are very up to date, and it's pretty easy to troubleshoot with the enormous amount of info on the wiki and elsewhere

  • people who don't know what an empire is might contest it

  • reminder: conscription officers are legitimate military targets and shooting them is self defense

  • posts gdp chart

doesn't know what gdp is or how it's measured

mocks person who does know what gdp is

    average worlder

  • aleph one from the AUR refused to run properly, often crashing on startup so i just grabbed the flatpak
the weirdest one was ghostwriter from the official repos, for some reason one day the preview window showed heavily corrupted output and tinkering with it on and off for a week did nothing, including a complete purge and reinstall of the program
the flatpak was the only version of it that worked after that

  • i have a couple on arch also, mostly because of dependency issues breaking the program and it being a pain in the ass to fix

  • fellas, is writing fiction a sign of severe mental illness?
