  • Yeah, with their mission trips, and their door to door no-jesus salesmanship, I hate having to deal with atheists always coming around trying to convince me that I don't need to believe in a god at risk of burning in hell forever. Fucking atheists.

  • And if it weren't for bad faith, they'd have no faith at all either.

  • I absolutely did not win the genetic lottery. On a very good day I might be a 4. I also have a confusing to me amount of romantic success. Like, dating multiple people, and this having been the case for years, successful. It's not about winning the lottery, it's about cultivating yourself as a person, and being open to opportunities.

  • The real problem, in my experience, is the large number of people. from all over the political spectrum, who will say, "Oh, that's not what the party wants, that's not what the politicians will do, it's just some people saying things." and just like, NO THEY REALLY DO WANT TO LINE ME AND HALF THE PEOPLE I KNOW UP AGAINST THE WALL AND SHOOT US DEAD, really seriously truly they do.

  • He is the Most Divorced Man in the World. And Grimes wasn't even married to him!

  • One of his kids came out as trans, his partner left him and later dated a trans woman, and he got caught trying to give one of his employees a horse for sex, so he decided to join the political side that hates trans people and doesn't hold people accountable for being shit as long as they continue waving the banner.

  • Transphobia reliably causes brainrot. It's weird how much faster and harder the effect seems to be relative to other bigotries, but look at Graham Linehan and how he burned his life to the ground.

  • Not necessarily. It might end up being another Voat.

  • Yeah. It was intentionally made into a boo phrase and thought terminating cliche. Chris Rufo has a lot to answer for, in poisoning the well of discourse in this country. Not that it wasn't already pretty terrible, but an ocean of piss is no excuse to dump barrels of cyanide.

  • The discussion started in the shitter, it's never not been in the shitter. Did you think that Chris Rufo was making some high minded philosophical point when he wrote about making everything CRT as a weapon?

  • Yup. The people calling it weird and new and experimental now are exactly the sort of people who burned the fucking data and murdered the researchers and patients.

  • I mean, their leaders already surrendered in Atlanta again...

  • I had thought that overbooking was standard practice in the industry these days?

  • Dude can't even STFU after a judge told him to already. It's pure wishful thinking on your part that any agreement made would be held to.

  • If there were an emergency, and the seat was empty just before door seal... Why wouldn't they put the emergency person in it? Having someone there who needed to travel would be a problem, having no one is not.

  • Yeah, unfortunately that wasn't obvious, since I've seen literally exactly these words with intent behind them in other comments. As rustyfish pointed out, Poe's Law is the law of the land; text doesn't come with tone.

  • Someone whose entire life has been to bend, break, mutilate, and carve them into a particular shape, one that demands that it be reproduced in others, and I am sorrowful that that has been done to people, and I want them to heal, and I want to help them heal, but a good first step is you don't get to inflict your damage on others.

  • Said it in another thread on this:

    I'm trans.

I figured it out, literally in the fifth grade.

It's not too early. It's not too hard. It's not bad for them. Not having proper knowledge of things has made my life harder and worse than it had to be. If you want to help kids, teaching them things is how you do that. Hiding things from them hurts trans kids, and it makes it easier for predators to predate on kids. If you want to hurt kids, that's on you, but say it with your fuckin' chest. Don't hide behind this line that you know is false.

    Oh, and re nutjob teachers:

We teach evolution in school, because the data backs it. We don't teach creationism in school, because the data doesn't back it. It's not that hard, this argument is pointless chaff.
