  • This is somehow more intimidating than uniforms.

  • Ah yes, the priest v baby war of 2022

  • It's growing. I'm seeing so many new communities on here every day.

  • It's a long hallway with a secret wall that can be blown up.

  • Can you imagine your purpose in life being "the guy who makes sure people's scarves are good enough"?

  • Hey, this sounds like every post-apocalyptic game I've ever played.

  • I highly recommend spreading out and creating accounts on other instances. Whenever one instance has issues or something, I just use another. That's the strength of the fediverse.

Plus, you might find (or create) some cool local posts, which helps spread out content.

  • I do think it's helpful to ensure that companies feel comfortable spending money on development, but it stifles innovation and progress when we can't open up the playing field after they've already made boatloads of money.

How many medications out there are still printing money when a generic would cost like 5 cents? How many creative projects get censored or scrapped because they too closely resemble some megacorp's IP? How many technologies are out there that can't be openly built upon because some company owns the rights and wants to milk it for another decade?

  • This is a hilarious story.

"I don't understand what's happening here, but someone tell them to never do it again!"

  • I've seen similar posts about how pesticides and landscaping and such have killed a huge portion of the bugs. Could this be because their food source has been diminished?

  • Post Traumatic Growth

  • The meme subs must be the largest and most active by far, so maybe the algorithm needs a little tweaking to accommodate that.

  • I'd forget that it existed until sometimes I'd see annoying notifications that wouldn't go away in browser.

  • A similar thought down that line has helped a little. If space and time are infinite, then who's to say that anyone is ever truly gone. Their number just needs to come up again.

  • Happy to bean a part of it

  • I don't handle loss well. To religious people it's temporary because they believe they'll reconnect in the afterlife. To me it's permanent and I haven't found a good way to cope yet.
