What this recent Lemmy trend has taught me is that lots of people have been hoarding memes for years. Hopefully they'd still be out there.

Yeah, back when almost all content online was just people having fun on barebones websites, in any random forum or corner of the web they could. Nobody was trying to become an influencer, churn out content for profit, or tiresomely push politics. The internet wasn't real life.

It's a little addicting, right? Sometimes I'll be sitting at my PC and realize I've just been hunting for new communities the whole time instead of browsing the ones I already sub to.

It's criminally inefficient that almost everyone works the same hours and tries to commute on the same roads at the same time.
