  • If I buy a map I don't just drive down the road not looking out the window. The bridge could have washed out that night I would never expect a map to cover that a map is for planning a route...I would be pissed off that it had led me down a dead end and I had to stop and turn around so I might ask for money back on the map but the death and driving off a road is not on the map

  • Because following a GPS blindly is stupidity...yes in this case it has been out 10 years.. but what if it was out 10minutes or what if it was some other hazard in the road or some road workers fixing somthing... you should be paying attention to the road and signs....now I agree signs should have been there. But just because the satnav says okay doesn't mean driver can just blindly follow, you are a dangerous driver not aware of your surroundings and in wet conditions going too fast for the distance you can safely see.

  • Yes so this is the on the authority that owns the road if people have been telling Google about it surely the municipal or state or whoever maintains the road was informed and should have made effort to block it off or mark the road as private or whatever. If it is a private road you are still liable if it appears to be access to your property (say for delivery drivers to your mailbox)

  • Sadly I think more young people low 20s are turning more right wing thanks to their immersion in internet culture influenced by right wing think tanks and Russia.

In our office it is the millennials and Gen X that are left and the apprentices (18-25) spout incel, conspiracy theory and trump type policies they get online from USA. The most right wing Brexit was rights, drown the immigrants in the channel, what's the NHS ever done for me, are that cohort.

  • Voter's in Uxbridge didn't like the ulez and wanted to keep driving cars despite having 3 tube lines, two mainline rail and busses with frequency measured in minutes....this is on the voters and the man who should be in the Clapham omnibus....but is solo in his Clapham SUV.

  • At the moment it is people with their own home and a driveway. The terrace street/on street parking and the renter's will struggle to charge at home overnight and charging centers lack both capacity and cheapness and also reliability.

In a recent drive from Cambridge to Reading (so major south east, not even remote in any way. Nearly ran out of charge as two supermarkets were broken and another two service stations were full with people queuing with estimate of 40-60min to start charging plus the 20min charge on that.

  • Don't even see how new cars electric is "affecting poor people". poor people wouldnt have been impacted until 2037 anyway in second hand. People buying new car petrol or electric in 2030-2030 would not be poor.

  • They had no choice LD plus labour would have been some 20 seats short of majority so would have been even worse than Mays minority con government relying on dup. A coalition if at least 4 parties would have been a nightmare to work. Their only option was Tory coalition. Maybe if people had given a swing of 10 more seats from Con to LD or Lab things might have been different.

  • Most deletion tools only view the profile pages, they have a 1k non refreshing cap. So only 1k newest, 1k top etc. . So otherwise delete account just makes the rest against a [deleted] user the posts are all still there.
