  • One cool thing I've discovered is that at least inside apps, those links with !!!exclamation marks to other subreddits work within the app and within your instance. So that's cool. Not sure if it works with comments, since they're a different structure.

I'll test with this comment from a german instance: https://feddit.de/comment/747555

And the same comment from within my instance: https://lemmy.world/comment/779107

So the second link works but first doesn't, its misread and goes to some other post.

  • Today I learned... Well, I'll be flossing more often :)

  • Less people who are wierdly hawkish on America's official enemies would be cool too. Like especially somebody that unironically uses 'Winnie the Pooh' to express derision for China. Would be great to see far fewer or no nerds like that. They might even be named after a shelled reptile.

  • Save them where? They stay on your device. If you want backup then export does the job. Hope this helps.

  • You can export highlights using KO Readers wrench icon > drop down menu > export highlights. If that was your question.

Otherwise I'm not sure what you might have said.

  • You wouldn't say this about any other peoples, strange you say it about them just because their government has managed the economy somewhat competently (with a favourable relationship with old adversaries).

Idk if I'd class this as propaganda, but propaganda doesn't have to be based on lies as I'm sure you know.

  • You're not entirely wrong, they get stereotyped as being rural poorer types but they tend to be closer to the people mentioned above, though perhaps not the exact demographic.

  • I hope the old ui customisations will be available, would be great.

I'm also wondering what will be done about lemmy's wierdness about subscribing to subs, where you need to search up the sub on your instance etc.

Even sharing the comment discussions is useless if the recipient isn't already from the instance (probably are but many won't be obvs), the site won't let them comment unless they find the discussion mirrors on their own instance. So how will sync for lemmy deal with these eccentricities (that lemmy devs are also obvs going to deal with in the future)??

    Thanks.

  • Same, it's possibly also because of his location/country. I haven't tried the app, but if any europeans/british people get it working, please say.

  • KOreader is great lightweight, feature-packed alternative like Moonreader but substantially different-looking, some may prefer it (I do).

  • I'd phrase it as you being like us tbh, rather than the other way around.

  • It logged in once I did the confirmation from my email.
