Yes very true, but how often does it happen where a former American vp does not endorse their presidential counterpart's future bids for president?

Not to put words in their mouth, but I feel like a lot of the times when people talk about going from Android to iPhone they're talking about going from a $300 (or low mid-end Android) to an iPhone, which is always going to be a high-end phone and will always have less problems.

Yeah as a podcaster he's entertaining, but the problem is the absolute disdain he has for non-scientists, and even graduate student scientists. He's a smart man, but he absolutely thinks he's one of the smartest people alive and makes it known. Never once has a scientist sent an employee to a room full of other scientists to make sure they all turned their cellphones off when he walks in a room, but he does that. Kip Thorne isn't even that up his own butt lmao

I can tell you that Neil is at the very least insufferable to be around.

In my area it's aged out. People that use CL are either scammers or trying to make a quick buck, as opposed to the FB marketplace which has both of those PLUS people who just want to get rid of shit and have no idea of the value or don't care about the value of their items.

Yeah, it absolutely is. It's disappointing because I had hoped Lemmy would be a bit more working and middle class people and fewer kids. Not that their viewpoint is invalid, but reddit is filled with teenagers and I was hoping for a slightly older skew.

I'll just try to remember that, yes, they are kids, and they are currently in their rebellious phase so I can't expect much different 😅

Honestly I just and less politics. More diverse just means more fighting. I just want less politics in subs that are not inherently political.

Listen, I'm all for cooking at home, It's what occupies most of my evenings, but I'm tired of pretending that fast food doesn't WILDLY add convenience to my life. A "30 minute meal" usually drags out to an hour plus if you include prep time of getting the ingredients together and scrubbing all your shit down afterward. I am of the class that does not have a dish washer, so that last step takes a while.

That's not even to mention the time it takes to plan out your meals, shop for ingredients, and at the end of the day, you might not even be eating healthy. You need to incorporate so many fruits and veggies into your diet that, if you're buying fresh and are one of the many unlucky people that live in a food desert, will break your bank right open. Even frozen food isn't cheap.

Eating healthy, cheap, and quickly are almost impossible to get all together without already having conveniences that speed things up. And sometimes, you just want to eat and not think about any of that shit.
