  • I'm trans too, but my experiences in other countries did not leave me with a good taste in my mouth. Maybe I just didn't find the right circles, but people here are a lot more "live your life" than in certain other places. The nail that sticks out will be hammered down, and all.

That's not to say the us is good for trans people, it's not. Where did you/your kids have good experiences?

  • I keep saying this to my friends but no one believes me. We talk about moving out of the country to look for a better place, but as a queer person there's really no place better than the US and that's saying something. It's not even good here but it's better than most places.

  • Right? Having an ad blocker means my video gets slowed down by a few seconds, not having an ad blocker means I get to watch a 30 second ad from a local politician telling me about how we need to get rid of fornicators. I think I know my choice lmao

  • Same with me. Over the last few months it's started to take tens of seconds to connect to any websites that aren't Google, Facebook, YouTube etc. Idk what it is or why it's happening, but it's to the point where I'm switching ISPs because it's wasting too much of my time.

  • I graduated about ten years ago so cellphones were popular, but not the same culture we have now. I got suspended because my mom called my phone which I had forgotten to turn off while it was in my locker before school started. Turns out I had forgotten a project so not only did I get suspended, I failed an assignment. Schools are great
