  • Even when support officially ends, enterprise edition allows companies to purchase a yearly subscription to continue support for several years with each year getting more expensive then the last. Also the LTSB edition continues support until 2029. It could be possible they have a way to use these patches through this?

  • I guess I would be one of them. Back in high school, it was the only other drug I tried once outside of pot. Then, I proceeded to never have it again until my friends (also same friends from high school) started getting it more and more lately. I barely get to see them but I would say it's probably once every 4-6 months now that I dive in.

I do think the gateway to this was the readily available chocolate shroom bars that were popping up everywhere were I live and got us all to just say sure why not. Now it's a mix of that and also just its self plain or chop it up and steep it for a tea. We all love it and have some great times together doing it.

  • I am 40 and never had a phone bill to date! When I started working in a real job I was 22 and at that time cell phones were still not 100% a necessity. My job gave us a blackberry so I never had to worry. Crazy enough, I've been with this job for 18 years now and the job doesn't seem very secure these days so I opted to purchase a phone directly. I traded in my old work phone for a new Samsung and got a top of the line for like $400. I signed up for Google voice and got a free number and use my work phones hot spot if I go out to use it just as any other phone for the last 3 years now. Only issue I have is hot spot is battery intensive, and some accounts don't allow mfa with free voip numbers but whatever, free is awesome.

  • Convert to USD, and it's about $40... That still is crazy unless I really don't know what a 30-pack costs these days. The only other thing that could drive it up is that it is also imported.

Canada has great beer, so it's crazy to me that people buy this at all.

  • Sadly, I do order from crap places like this more than I would like to admit. Key these days to keeping semi low prices or get more food for the price is to have an account and order from the app. You can see all the deals and pick one that may work best for you. Some places are better than others. Most of Domino's is a scam because the deal price should just be the real price. It basically penalizes people who don't go out of their way. Good luck next time!

  • Where I am from everyone used Venmo... I never wanted it, I had PayPal forever due to ebay I think in the 2000's so why did I need another service that did the exact same thing as PayPal and it's even owned by the same company! Sadly, I lost that battle and caved. Idk why everyone said let's use venmo or why it got big, but I'm stuck out of convenience for others now.

Personally, I love Zelle the most since it's a direct transfer from bank account to bank account and available immediately without the 2 day wait like the other services.

  • I wish my kid enjoyed some of the things I liked. Sadly this generation has spoiled him and seeing something that old is weird to him. Hoping when he gets a little older he can understand that just because it's old looking doesn't mean it's bad.

  • I am not ready to play it due to life stuff, but I absolutely have to because I know my friends will be playing it day 1 just like before, and if I didn't join them I would have missed out on some of the best online gaming I've had in probably 10 years.

  • Take it one step further, create the new one and turn on forwarding, and just have it forwarded to your primary so you still only need to monitor 1 account. Although I feel like anyone doing this will probably forget it was forwarded and just reply using the NSFW email...

  • It was always my dream to go to E3 back in the 2000's. I don't care if it would have been terrible. That period was so special, and I miss the days when events like this told the story of what's to come in the next year and everyone tried so hard to put out the best trailer. I think that's why I was so sad when it started to crumble, and I realized it's never going to happen for me. My only backup now is to somehow go to Tokyo Game Show.

  • Yup, we were Avaya. Once Covid started, we looked into finally getting WFM and other features like this because we were a place that directly increased call volume due to covid but were unable to keep up with the amount of concurrent calls. We wanted to use the call back feature to help the agents who were overwhelmed and wouldn't be able to get a large increase in help anytime soon. Especially since we knew these levels would only be temporary as well. In the end, it was not approved.

  • As someone who is also a phone system admin, if you had an older system, that feature was a pretty expensive feature to add on. We never purchased it because to buy what was needed to do it would've costed a ton. We did recently switch to a cloud pbx a few months ago and the one advantage I've seen is most of the high end features seem to be more readily available and cheaper when bundled with their packages so we finally got a lot of these options. RIP are the days of on prem systems.

I guess my point is I would imagine a lot of places still use older systems possibly and will wait as long as possible before upgrading and probably do not have the call back feature.
