Because Russia is a capitalist nation, with a healthy mix of Putin's dictatorship thrown in for good measure.

To deny that, simply because Russia says they operate under socialist gov't, is to be blind to the truth.

The real issue is overconsumption

Don't blame people for what capitalism has done all on its own.

There are traditional cultures that hunt whales, like Inuit people. But they take one whale, not 25.

Japan is not hunting in a traditional way nor holding to what their ancestors did.

But the Crown corporation dismissed the proposal in a response on Sunday, saying it wants to "restore stability" to the postal service and arguing the union's request for binding arbitration would do the opposite.

Canada Post said arbitration would be long and complicated and would likely last more than a year, adding to what it described as its significant financial challenges.

Canada Post leadership trying to act all holier than thou by forcing employees to do what they want is soooo democratic.

The fire raging through Flin Flon began a week ago near Creighton, Saskatchewan, and quickly jumped the boundary into Manitoba. Crews have struggled to contain it. Water bombers have been intermittently grounded due to heavy smoke and a drone incursion.

All true, but the infrastructure we used to have is mostly gone and to start over would entail spending billions. It seems Carney prefers to use what we've got, along with ideas already in a development/funding stage, to move us forward.

Carney has not publically agreed with Robertson. Never mind he had a spotty record while mayor of Vancouver.

There are conventions going on in Winnipeg. The government could offer them another date instead and have them leave now.
