That would take progressives to actually go on the offensive for once in their lives. It ain't happening. We both know that.

Conservatives lead an endless charge to alway be on the attack. Always lash out at the media, lash out against Democrats, lash out at the big bad gob'ment.

Democrats aren't willing to defend themselves if their own lives depended on it. And these days, that isn't fiction anymore.

And as usual, the shutdowns are going to end up costing us more then if they just signed off on these bills to begin with.

The car I put the most miles on (at least during the summer) doesn't even have an ECU, so yeah you guys can have fun with all that high tech nonsense.

I won't hold my breathe until there is major progress, but all these plans will get thrown in the trash if Republicans regain the White House and if Democrats don't either take control of Congress or at least make gains. Republicans have been trying to kill of Amtrak and any US rail improvements for decades now.

Like with seemingly everything else, if Republicans are involved, they will stubbornly try to hold us back come hell or high water.

They mention it like 4 times in the article, but don't explain what the hell "equal pay claims" even are.

Try to get the rule changed so it reads "no UNLEASHED dogs allowed on.... " And try to get them to add some kind of punishment for those who don't clean up after their dogs (i.e. a $50 fine or something like that). Sure people can bash HOAs (and I totally agree with why they are hated so much), but the rule was probably not enacted because of one incident. It was probably put into place after many issues with owners not cleaning up after their dogs, so they felt they had to do something.

As with all HOA issues, the solution is to be in on it.... be part of the HOA. Run for office and get on the board. Being part of the process makes it that much easier to control what rules get put up.

I've made a few logos. One of them I used to make a stamping die that deformed some sheet metal. Worked shockingly well.

I've also made a simple phone mount and a lens for the glovebox. My ultimate plan is to make the housing for new headlights, but lack of time and wanting to scan rather than measure the sheetmetal opening has slowed me down on that project.

I'll tell you what, using that points distributor on my Lulzbot has sped up printing considerably! Unfortunately the print nozzle connected to the 401 nailhead sure makes the Buick hard to start.

Tech reporting these days is essentially people who have been wined-and-dined by corporate marketing departments and then just regurgitating what press releases tell them what to say. And if these "reporters" don't play ball, they get quietly blacklisted by these companies.

A banner ad here or there, and people could put up with that. But limitless greed kicked in and these companies would bury ads in the article, ones that pop up over the article and everywhere in between. And on mobile it is 10x worse where the formating is an absolute mess and ads take priority over any actual real content.

Do you think for even a second that Dejoy or Tuberville would still be in the positions that they are in if the parties were reversed? Not a fucken chance.

Republicans would have started an endless war if Democrats had someone in the Post Office fucking everything up or they had someone holding up that many military nominees. They would be on the news 24/7 vilifying these people and all hell would have broken loose. They would use this as a perfect example of how Democrats are supposedly anti-military. And the news media would have gone right along with it.

What do Democrats do? crickets..... in fact I try to follow the news fairly closely and this is the first time I have heard the name Tuberville.
