  • Trump being the nominee is indeed the best situation for Dems. No question about that, but he's been making these type of deluded comments even when he was in office and Dems never went hard on the "he's got dementia" angle in attacking him. I'm not talking about random folks like us online, but rather elected officials. They were (and are still) afraid of getting in the crosshairs of Trump.

  • I heard this years later by my former boss. He used to work for a company that just announced some lay-offs because work was slow. Right as the lay-offs were being announced the head of the company pulled into the lot with his new Porsche lease. It was terrible timing, but the corporate lease was up and the car was ordered months prior. Just made the owner look especially tone-deaf since the car came the same say as the lay-off announcement.

  • If the shoe was on the other foot and there was a Democrat holding up all these appointments, I have zero doubt that Republicans would find a way around it or cause holy hell in the media till something changed.

Democrats on the other hand are too timid to rustle some feathers.

  • If the Left weren't so timid, they would be all over this and demand he is examined for senility. Because, let's face it, that is exactly what the GOP would do if Biden started talking about the War of 1812 or how he will defeat George W Bush.

Sure, there are going to be a bunch of snarky comments and a few memes about this posted, but I hate to break it to you all, our comments on social media don't mean squat. We need actual people in positions of power to come forward and demand Trump get a mental health exam. But they clearly are too cowardly to do so.

  • My state has had a similar law for a while now and not much has changed. Companies will either mostly ignore it, or give pay ranges that are so wide that the information is meaningless... No joke, I have seen jobs posted that said the salary was from $150k to 600k. What good is that?!

Especially considering that so many jobs these days go through headhunters, you'll get an email and rarely does it include the salary range. And it's not like these headhunters sitting in a call-center in India who barely speak English give a shit about some new law.

  • Is the door that is being slammed a common door (like in the common hallway) you have access to? If so, install a damper on the door so it slowly closes. The more he pushes, the more it fights him.

If yiu don't have access to the door, then get anti vibration levelers for your bed. There are lots of different ones. Some go under the existing leveler feet, while others would replace the leveler feet altogether so just make sure the thread is the same size. The rubber that these vibration isolators use varies in hardness. It might take some experimenting but you want a rubber that is soft enough that it compresses some when the weight of the bed and you are on it, but not so soft that it bottoms out.

  • Maybe don't take your knowledge of US politics from TVs and movies. It's not that complicated and that's one of the reasons why there are political parties - it is pretty reasonable to assume that if one is registered as a Democrat then they follow most democratic party ideals. And if they are registered as a Republican, then they are a worthless piece of shit. It makes picking your candidate easier even ot is an imperfect system.

  • BestBuy will match most Amazon prices, so these days there is little advantage to shopping online. I bought my last phone from BB because in the end, reviews can't show you what a product is really like in your hand. And since the price is no different, then why not?

Anything dealing with visuals or touch and feel, you really should consider buying in person. TVs, monitors, phones, headphones, keyboards and mice. The issue is that BB has limited stock on hand. Obviously their selection will n3ver match Amazon or NewEgg,but if yiu are buying a popular brand then they typically have it.
