  • Isn't it strange how you can get to be an elected official with that many investigations by the government into you? There is a background check that is extensive and yet for these jokes that is apparently reduced to, "ah yes we see you have an extensive background. jolly good. :) kiss"

  • The reason we have arrived here is because no one wants to do the hard work of MAKING a functional society. We all do JUST BARELY ENOUGH for it all to not fall apart, do everything the easiest way possible, never mind the results being shit.

Obviously it would be easier to reorganize the Dems. But it would be poisoned from the beginning.

  • The mistake still lies with the Dems (including Harris) for having prepared for seemingly nothing that is happening despite them writing out in detail what they would do. They did not prepare a good candidate, just assumed that one would appear or that Biden would run. When Biden ran, and his numbers sucked, he didn't back out. That is all the fault of Dems.

  • I'll just put it out there that ukraine is really running the gauntlet on leveling the playing field between what state actors can do and what you can do in your garage. Their drones are homemade marvels, and very effective.

Idk why I thought to mention that, but I hope you have a nice day :)

  • Absolutely. I was just talking about my daily life. I don't give a shit if something gives me cancer or sterilizes me at this point. My body is so irrevocably fucked by pollution already, unless it kills me/debilitates me within the next 10 years, I don't care. A shortening life span is meaningless to me.

  • That's entirely possible. I haven't seen any evidence that protest votes had any significant effect on the outcome. Mostly, people seem to have been less motivated in general, as well as widespread voter suppression purging voters from all states. But anyone who is screaming at protest voters for having morals that they refuse to compromise on is not only stupid, but has lost sight of what is virtuous. Empathy is a good thing, and having enough that you cannot support those who support genocide is admirable. Choosing the lesser of 2 evils is also admirable for different reasons. Society needs both. Frothing at the mouth about people not voting for a bad candidate is ridiculous.

  • I feel like you are still making a lot of assumptions here. Say there are 5 unrelated people in a city who participate (pretty small numbers). No coordination or communication. There are limited targets within that city. If one does something and damages the surveillance, it will not be repaired instantly. Weeks likely. When this begins happening more frequently, that downtime will increase.

  • I'm not sure if you know this, but the left looks the same as the right. And as Canadians. If you think they will be able to find all of us, let alone kidnap and kill us all, you're sorely mistaken. People can perform partisan actions and disappear into mist. Sure they find sole actors now after a while and a lot of concerted effort, but now imagine there are a few hundred of those events all over the country? If you think they would win or even be able to fight a true guerilla war on American soil, you're delusional. Even with the brown shirts who would be willing to help, you'd have just as many that refuse and possibly switch sides.
